Thank you for such a clear and concise explanation of the process. I am about to embark on my Shibori journey. I noticed it was a little time-consuming to remove the strings. Do you think a garment sower’s seam ripper tool might work to quickly remove the ties? Cheers, sincerely Ray from Seattle.

Hi. Great work. Can this Indigo dye also be use with the Barbasol marbling method sucessfully? If so, what would change or follow the same as you demonstrated?
Thanks for watching! I have not tried it, but I doubt it would work with indigo. you could always use blue procion dyes with shaving cream to get a blue color but indigo would probably not work. What's your favorite kind of dyeing to do?
This is gorgeous! Getting some paint sticks and doing this tomorrow. Can't wait. Where did you get that linen square pillow case? I have been looking for one exactly like that.
It depends on the kind of vat. Pre reduced indigo doesn't usually last that long. you can always test it to see if it's still working and then punch it up as needed

It turned out beautiful! Love this technique. Have you tried this fold with a tshirt or hoodie?
Not yet! but it would be super cool!
Hi it looks so amazing!! I can't seem to find available paint of this type of indigo at my place 😔 is it possible to do it with normal tie-dye paint?
Yes you can!
@@OnyxArtStudios Thank you!! Super 😍
And do you know maybe if i can skip the boiling step? To be able to dip the cloth the way you do it?
Very nice ,thank you mam
Most welcome 😊
Beautiful!

I made this one from a linen, but you can use these Pillows from amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B072R4XHW2?ref=exp_onyxmatter_dp_vv_d
Lovely
Thanks so much. What type of shibori patterns are your favorite?
How do you prevent the colors from running into the white when you wash it? When I dye fabric I rinse it and color runs off
Synthrapol will help with that. There's a link for it in the description. Thanks so much
wow good idea
Thank you! 😊
How can you do just a top part of a shirt in that pattern?
I have a skillshare class with a similar pattern on a shirt. You can try skillshare premium for 14 days free and watch it here. skl.sh/3eo1j8U thanks!
That is awesome
Thanks so much!
Wow very nice ..
when you wash does the colour disapear ?
The color will always fade somewhat after it dries and washes. That is a normal part of any dyeing
AWESOME!!!
Thanks!!
Beautiful! How long can the bucket of dye last and should it be stored at a certain temperature?
It depends on the kind of vat. Pre reduced indigo doesn't usually last that long. you can always test it to see if it's still working and then punch it up as needed
@@OnyxArtStudios so it would only last for a few days before I would have to add more dye to it?
Love it...
Thanks so much
Useful!
