Hello Dr. Sumeet! Nice video! I wish to know if we distributed an online questionnaire randomly to teachers and some answered but some didn't answer ... is this considered convenience sampling ?
Thank you!! If it is quantitative research it’s always better idea to go with probability sampling methods. In that case, try to improve low response rate. Otherwise you might mention convenience sampling or snowball sampling depending upon whether your sample further distribute that questionnaire in their network or not.
@@dr.sumeetbakshi Thanks for your advices👍 yes indeed it is a quantitative research! 135 teachers have answered the questionnaire so I don't know in that case if it is considered a random sampling or a convenient one because some others did not fill the questionnaire. Moreover, I don't know the response rate since I don't know how many teachers did not participate (the survey was randomly distributed by my friends and by me)
You’re most welcome 🤗 As you mentioned survey is randomly distributed, my understanding is that you didn’t use any probability sampling method. Then it will be convenience sampling. But be ready to justify your choice of sampling method and to deal with internal & external validity. ruclips.net/video/KSrbKUI-904/видео.html Hope this helped! Madam , these are theoritical things , practically there is inclusion exclusion criteria , based on those criteria, samples are selected it includes purposive as well as convenience 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ma'am, can a study contain both purposive and convenience sampling? For example, my study has both inclusion and exclusion criteria. And I also choose participants that are more accessible like in one particular hospital. Thank you in advance🩷🩷🩷
