I lived here from 90-92 while stationed at Patch Barracks. we loved it so much that we bought a home here...:)

I'm American but I lived in Herrenberg for two years, this video gave me intense nostalgia for the days when I'd just go off on my own and walk around town with no goal in mind just seeing what I could find. If anyone visits Herrenberg I also highly recommend going up to the Schönbuch forest paths and having a wander.

Wow, I didn't expect Herrenberg beeing worth a visit, but that looks realy nice. I am german but I am often overwhelmed how pretty our old cities are and how well preserved they are. That much cost a fortune. But on the other hand, I expect every german city to have a historical center, and it is pretty embarrasing if you have none. Some say, oh, ours was bombed in ww2 , but in fact it was in most cases demolished in the seventies.
The beautiful cityscapes and landscapes of Germany are always impressive. We still don't know a lot about Germany, but we are happy to learn and discover new things.
