- I could not find any on screen lyrics for this amazing song. This is a song called "Life Left To Go" from a band named "Safety Suit". Sure it is a little sad, but the message in the end is an inspirational one. Take a listen to it, enjoy the waves as you take a deep breath and reflect on your life. a few moments after my first born daughter was born, I played this for her, I thought this song would be the best for her first song ever heard.
I love this too much. There is so much sorrowful symbolism. The "narrator" of this song talks about how he has someone close to him is battling with a form of depression, how that person's life is hellish and the narrator feels that the person they care about will end their lives and leave them behind. Although, the narrator still has hope since he wants to fix this broken person- he can't afford to lose them.
I really relate to this song, but in the narrator's point of view. I had a best friend who used to have depression, and I'm pretty sure he still does to this day, but I'm doing everything I can to help him. Just like the song, I can't afford to lose him. He is too important to me.
this song says everything i had been telling my best friend who was like a sister to me, we were soul sisters for 15 years, i would tell her she is worthy of life and of our love but she just couldn't see it and lost her battle with depression, it's been 2 years but it's like it was last week, everyday i think about her and it just kills me inside. i tried so hard to help her, and i feel like i failed, i've felt so lost ever since, just empty. depression is such a gut wrenching illness to have and deal with, if only people could understand that.

I remember listening to this song two years ago, and being able to relate so much to it. For an example, these lines; "alone as you walk through a crowd and it's awkward like nobody sees. And you can't help but wonder, would anyone come after you if you'd leave?"
Now, though, I can say that I've left that time behind me.

This song reminded of when I overdosed on my psych. meds. 2 yrs. ago and the doctors doing everything they can to pump my stomach and pour the charcoal down my throat to revive me, but by the grace of God....... He was the One who brought me back to life! :) Thanks God for watching over me! :)

yes yes. It is completely intoxicating. The wave of sounds touch my heart & make my worries seem so small. I feel like im in a trouble-free bubble deep within my heart's ocean. This song sums up the meaning of everything good in this world so perfectly. I feel like my life gets a bit brighter every time I allow my ears the pleasure of listening to this beautiful song. And this song is one that I found that is telling me to stay strong, that I have people behind me that will catch me if and when I fall. I have therapy every week and I listen to this song every time I start to think of hurting myself and it stops me before I do anything stupid."

As a person's who is currently dealing with depression you cannot just "fix it". Depression is a real disease where there is a chemical imbalance in your brain, and just taking medicine does not help. There is no instant solution when diagnosed with depression (or any mental illness). It may take years of a combination of medicine and therapy before things start to turn around. It can come at any age it pleases; it does not discriminate against age, gender, sexual orientation, race, etc. It can happen to anyone. And one of the "side effects" of depression is over analyzing everything and everything is taken seriously. Yes, the Bible talks about depression, but it also gives uplifting and encouraging versus to fight back and to manage, instead of giving in (which I believe this song is emphasizing - not giving up there is hope, someone cares!)
I am not attacking you, I don't want to, I am just explaining that depression is not an easy thing to deal with. Nor is there an instant gratification with seeking help. Please be careful when saying you'd rather die than be depressed because most who have depression do try to kill themselves. I've tried it and thank God I failed. I admit that this song has "saved my life" time and time again. And be careful when saying "no one cares when you're older" because people do. There is ALWAYS someone that cares, no matter what age.
For the sake of yourself and others, please carefully think before you go and speak your feelings about a topic that can bring a lot of unwanted emotions up to the surface. I wouldn't want you or anyone to do something that causes pain later on.

thx :') I have been depressed but what I dnt get is that whenever im depressed it goes away then it comes right back again like a sickness ;-; I just don't like it when Im depressed im not myself.

That's what depression does it comes back time and time again because it is a sickness. Through my experience I see a Psychiatrist who prescribed me anti-depressants and helps me by using cognitive therapy. Another way to help myself through my depressed periods I write; poetry, short stories, or sometimes I just write how I feel, and that helps me feel a lot better.I don't like it when I'm depressed either. No one does. So I understand how you feel, you're not alone in this.
If you ever need someone to talk to Inbox me okay? That goes for everyone who has those dark days/nights and needs someone to talk to. I've been there. I know how ugly things can get. Just rant to me okay? I wouldn't want anyone to hurt themselves or try to take their life because I have and it's not worth the aftermath that follows. However, I am not a therapist! I can only do so much. I can/will be that shoulder you need to cry on, that one person who cares. So don't be afraid okay? It will get better. Things will be okay. :)

I was suicidal once. I wanted to take my life so bad. I was bullied for 10 years in my school for simply enjoying to draw, play games and later on watch anime. I was hurting.
Today, I'm 17 years old. And I just want to say to everyone out there who are also suffering; keep going. Life will get better. Today, I have a future that seem so bright, a future worth looking forward to.
I would never have met the wonderful persons I know today if I had taken my life back then...

This is one of the saddest and most addicting songs I've ever heard. Safetysuit is such a wonderful band filled with emotion. There songs are so amazing and just on a higher level of thinking sometimes. It's so great that they can use their talent to bless other people's lives.

I love this song so much and it saved me a lot of times. It saved one of my friends for a while as well. Now when I listen to it, I think about him because he gave in and killed himself. I agree completely with anyone who says the autotune is a good addition to the song. He doesn't need it at all, but it adds to the song. For me, it makes it seem more peaceful. It's definitely not intended for the same reasons that artists on the radio use it for which is to make their voice sound better. It really compliments the song in this case.

You know, I was also bullied for all those things. And for being ugly. And when I was sixteen, my best friend committed suicide because she was picked on too.
If I had the chance to go back to that time, I'd make sure I noticed, make sure she knew how much I loved her, because no one deserves to feel like they're not cared about.
I think that we're all beautiful and we should reach out to those who don't believe it.

talking it out with a therapist really helps, odd as it sounds, I've treated my depression for a long time with consistent, regular exercise. It's tough to get that one started but it works.

The only one who can get you out is you, find that one thing of joy to hold on to and don't let go. Hold on and things will get better. Even if you have to fake it,sooner or later you're mind will start believing that maybe you really are happy. 75% of life is psychological. Tell you're self over and over that things will be okay and it'll become true. Even if you're lying to yourself, one day, that lie will become truth.

im having so much trouble lately and this band helps a lot! What with my sister. we both hate eachother now because she teased me all my life and got worse when she got a boyfriend. it got much worse when she moved out and didnt want anything to do with me. so when she moved back in, she continued her bitter battle and now we can't even stand the site of eachother. she encouraged me to harm myself so she would feel that she was better than me. it's music like this that helps me throu tough days.

Auto tune is a tool, an instrument, not a mask. Doug doesn't need auto tune to sing on pitch, but he sure knows how to use it as an instrument. All auto tune does is help the music become more precise, and give it a different style. I could argue that putting frets on a bass guitar is cheating in the same way that using auto tune on a voice is "cheating". The auto tune, and other effects in the song, all add to the surreal feeling that matches perfectly with the lyrics and song as a whole

I was suicidal once. My brother killed himself back in 2009. I started cutting, I wanted to get away from this world. But I started dating a guy, this guy seemed to help me. Now we just broke up here in 2012. We stopped talking, and I hit depression again. I've been holding back from self harm because I try to look at the positives. It's hard feeling like someone can go from loving you to fine without you.. all I feel is alone. But for everyone that feels this way, you can message me for help
