@@Eroll-dw8ex I already commented that I watch vldl so that I DON'T put a gun to my head. Awareness is fine for people who process emotions normally. There are too many people who could watch this and it ruins their day. Maybe even pushes them over the edge.
No kidding... I tried telling a coworker about my ex's depression once. She said she'd never stay with someone who was that much of a downer. I never brought it up around her again
I like how in that skit, they weren’t really making fun of the people with mental illnesses but more making fun of society and how they don’t take mental illnesses seriously. This was meant to be funny but also I opening. Showing how maybe we need to start thinking how certain things may be harder for some then others. Really trying to understand one another and help one another as well.
To be completely fair, eveyone is scared. People who don't have mental issues are afraid of losing their friend, who's probably never shown them their weaknesses, to this monster of sadness, anxiety and fear that their friend are posting in front of them and calling it with the same name of the same friend that for years, having hidden all this, seemed more happy go lucky and ok with his personal life. People are scared because losing a friend to depression and crippling anxiety is bad for both parties, so most people just try what their brain tells them would world for THEM, but clearly not for their friend. They're simply too focused on themseleves, in a non negative way, to notice how their "helping" isn't working, subconsciously speaking. That's why they "don't understand" most of the time, because they try to, but deep down they still can't. Not eveyone can. But that's where you draw the line. If they start being toxic, and when confronted they choose to deliberately ignore the effects that this "help" is having on you, dump them. They'll eventually come around with an apology and some better understanding skills, or they won't come around at all.
I felt that, I have really low bandwidth when it comes to social interaction, so I also tend to break away from time to time, usually just sitting somewhere more secluded or talk to people like me at parties
As a guy who experiences this daily I relate a lot to the first skit. The last few years has been hard. Pretty much the only thing that keeps me waking up in the morning is the three little creatures that I see every day. Probably couldn’t do it without them.
Please keep up the good fight. It is hard to see life's little joys when they appear. But I promise you that they will appear. Mental health is a marathon so pace yourself.
I promise, things DO get better. You do have to keep on fighting. As a badge I've got says, "Survive out of Spite" 😉 if nothing else 🙂 I spent many years struggling with myself, but with time, you learn that you do have worth and meaning, even if it might be tough to see or accept sometimes. But if you keep going, you have the opportunities for your life to improve, sometimes exponentially. 🙂 Keep going bud, and chin up. Keep working and one day you will realise that somehow, things HAVE gotten better, and that you are actively happy without realising. Good luck and be stubborn, remember, you are worth it 🙂
I find it weird that you had to say mental health is real as if people deny its real. I have heard lots of disagreement but never heard anyone say mental health is not real. you see it everywhere now. Crazy people. The real question is why it's blown out of control? I have my theories
I have mental illness and I would say there is more than plenty of awareness of mental illness, to the point that it no longer helps but instead exacerbates the issue and allows everyone to, including myself, to choose to play victim instead of doing something to change their circumstances.
As a person who suffers from crippling depression, anxiety, and a desire to no longer be alive at times, the first skit really spoke to me, and then the cat showed up and I actually shed tears. I relate so much, thanks to my cat, Luna.
Funny mental health sketches that hit a little too close to home, I love how you do highlight mental health while putting in a lot of humor in them. Someone out there may have watched some of these and been inspired to take that first step to getting better. So yeah thanks for these, it means a lot to your community that you do these
@@waynedieckmann9840It is, but there can be great times too. I have been through a lot of bad stuff in my life, and have complex PTSD as a result. But, I keep on going, and good stuff does happen, even though at times it doesn’t seem that it will.

I really love these. You guys just get how so many of us feel. It’s also just a testament to the acting skills of the whole team. That last one with Ben really hit home. VLDL is the best. Thank you,
Between them, these videos have probably saved dozens of lives, and helped hundreds more. Thank you. You use comedy and nerd cred to make yourselves relatable, and that gives people the desire to want to listen to what you're saying and the ways that they can be helped. Don't stop.
I really love the intovert one because it shows how complicated mental health it and that it’s not necessarily being around people but the types of interaction that cause the mental drain. Like I can talk to my best friend all night and feel fantastic the whole time, but even though I loved comic con I had to isolate myself several times to keep myself going.
You guys blend funny with serious seamlessly. Thank you for spending time making these skits and for wanting to help people talk about their mental health. ❤
The one with Adam in the party and leaving into a quiet room and relaxing with someone like him is a nice touch. I wish some people were like that at genuine parties.
I appreciate this content, not only does it show a relatable version of many struggles people have on a daily basis. It also shows the acting abilities yall have. The last part with Ben I want to point out especially. He was able to go so smoothly from an online scumbag to a man who feels he has no one in his life who cares and that he can let care. Very well done to all involved, cast and crew alike.
I think almost every one of these sketches left me with a lump in my throat. You guys are doing great work! I know there are tons of people all across the world who are getting some help from these, just because it reminds us that we’re not alone in this struggle. Keep it up! You’re making a difference. (:
@danhall7991 I think it is the influence of the dark spiritual side that God allows in our lives. Intrusive thoughts are intrusive because they don't come from us.
That last sketch really took its mental toll on me. As an actor in training, I really learned to appreciate the honest emotions you're putting into these videos, and I am impressed with the level you reached in making them. You're inspirational both as fellow actors, aswell as in regards to your willingness to tackle hard topics like mental health. Maybe I should have just written: "Nice video my doods"
Everytime I see that skit with Ben texting his mom it brings tears to my ears cause its been how ive been for quite a while its not as bad anymore, but there was a periode where I just never left my bed and havent been able to speak to someone about it, he play it so incredibly well.
This super cut came out at the perfect time. I’m having easily the worst time in my life and it’s refreshing to see this stuff. Thank you all for everything you do.
These videos are so great, lot of people out there need help and it is good to see you guys using your platform in an amusing but serious way, thank you VLDL x
what I love about these sketches is that although they make it humorous, they also convey the seriousness and importance of mental health. easy to say VLDL is one of the best RUclips channels ever ❤
This is too real, but I feel better that I am not alone and struggling. I applaud you guys for using your channel for addressing what some, if not most, people go through at some point in their lives. Thank you.
You all make funny sketches that are just brilliant, but these sketches are what truly make Viva La Dirt League special. Everyone goes through phases of depression it different ways. It's not something that goes away entirely, which is what makes it hard to deal with. Thank you all for everything that you do and the compassion that comes across to all your fans.
Thank you all for making these skits. For people who might not even know that they might be struggling with mental health, these shed some light on knowing that maybe it’s not a normal thing to feel these ways, maybe we need to take a step back and focus on our self. The emotional roller coaster of the videos they can inflict on a viewer shows that these are for better understanding and help. Thank you again everyone at VLDL.
These are some of the best sketches. So well rounded, tragedy, comedy, heartbreaking, heartwarming, so real. And *some of the GREATEST acting!!!* Thank you ❤
These are my favorites of all the videos on the channel. I've struggled with my mental health all my life, so I really appreciate them and relate to them. Thank you for making them.
The last one made me tear up. Everything you described in that last long text is exactly how I feel everyday. I'm constantly in dark spots, wondering if I'll ever get out. I've shut myself out from my family and friends. I've never had a video relate so much to me before. Thank you so much for making these

I’ve been crying watching these videos. Every one of us has a struggle inside, fighting our demons every day. These mental health videos are really helping. Thank you, guys. VLDL is my most favourite channel on RUclips. And you are getting better and better. Best regards! Andrew, Russia
That bit where he crossed the bridge a second time and actually took a look hit hard man, been there once and it was hard to watch that, Kudos on broaching the subject matter
This is so good because you guys are spot on. These are my daily struggles. Anxiety is paralyzing and depression makes you feel empty and useless. Medication made my body sick and my life a dull blur. Life is either a comedy or a tragedy, I choose comedy, thank you for sharing yours.
When I clicked on this video, I don't know what I was expecting. After watching it, and relating to many of the skits, It just feels wonderful to once again have a reminder that I am not alone. That one feeling, that one thought, has always been the thing that has held me back in life. It has encouraged me to open up more honestly to my therapist and to seek out others like me. Thank you Viva la Dirt League, for all that you do for me and for everyone else.
If I recall correctly, Britt wrote the Fireheart sketch. If so, fantastic work Britt! And Ben was perfect for the role. He's also perfect for the Internet Overload sketch.
For a channel that delivers so much great comedic content, you guys hit way harder than you have any right to, lol. I love the range of emotions and how genuine you all can be portraying them. Even more amazing, is how quickly you can swap between them, like Ben and Fireheart. The juxtaposition makes the emotions feel so much more real. I can also only imagine that at least some of you deal with these issues yourselves, and the skits are all relatable. I definitely felt the introvert one and internet overload. The number of things I've written out and then deleted because I can't figure out how to press send and put the vulnerability into the world.
Same here... too many times I've spilled my guts to a friend then change my mind & delete the whole message. I literally get the same look that Ben has on his face, it's eerie
Every single one of these skits was beautiful and affirming. As someone who has been living with depression, anxiety, and neurodiversity, I have struggled so hard to tell my friends and family what it feels like. But once I showed this to my parents, they were able to see it, comprehend, and start to reach out in more than platitudes. Thank you, VLDL.
As someone who works in the mental health field, but has also struggled with depression my entire life, these skits just hit home and help me further understand and feel passionate about my job. You guys are amazing and I love that you're willing to make these kind of videos and help others realize they're not alone.
The best part is that you don't get exclusively just one disorder, it always come in combinations like depression and anxiety, panic attacks and suicidal thoughts, all of those mentioned and more...
You know rowan playing as different mental issues is not surprising i mean dude is literally the manifestation of all the problems of alan, ben, and adam
The last sketch had us all emotional....that one hit home...let's all face it. We all want to speak out loud and tell what's on our heart but we don't want anyone see us breaking down...especially our mothers may our mothers live to be 100 years old...you know you want that
@robertnope1993 As a straight huwyte man, I'll give you one guess as to how schools treat many of their students (and that's without getting into groomers).
My school pays people to come in and do these sketches about problems like vaping and bullying, which are much less prevalent than issues like mental health problems and are often not even applicable to our lives. I've spoken to some of my friends about this and we all agree that they actually make us feel worse, especially those of us who struggle with mental health. I would gladly watch VLDL instead of whatever they're giving us.@robertnope1993
Thank you so much. I struggle with mental issues since 20 years. And it's pretty obvious many of you guys went through this in real life to write this stories so well which aim straight to the brain and Heart with so much power. It trully resonates in people like me. I have never seen or heard people describing so perfectly "how it feels". You made my day. Knowing we are not alone is the most precious pill to begin to cure i guess. I hope it will also help people around to understand better, and then try to help better, if they can. PS: sorry for my english, not my native language, but i am sure your hearts understood.
Thank you for making these. I identified with a lot of these videos. Mixing comedy with real mental issues is a great way to get it out. Thank you, keep up the great work!
Those sketches are so relatable... I know how heavy everything is sometimes and in order not to show weakness you repeat to yourself that everything is going to be fine, taking charge of everything and everyone so that the rest of the people around you don't feel bad. Sometimes you just want to lock yourself up, alone, with no one around so you can have a little peace without worrying about how others will be, because as soon as you open the door what worries you most is to make sure everyone around you is okay, regardless of how you are. Because you tell yourself that you can do everything, knowing how exhausting it is, you have keep going. Several of your sketches have brought tears to my eyes because I can identify with them, but seen it from outside is different that suffering it. That is what I have been through. And I prefer to prevent those around me from going through this, so if someone has to go through it, let it be me, because I know how much I can endure.
The first skit hits really close to home. I have theese struggles every now and then, I really never talk about it.. Fact is.. Ive deleted this text several times already. I believe there are millions of us doing the very same thing where we suffer behind invisible walls. Its a very good thing you bring up this very important subject so people start talking about it. ❤
You've nailed these, had me in tears watching. Having gone through quite a few of these recently while also trying to help raise 3 kids and hold down a full-time job. This helped, cheers guys 👍

I just gotta say these all were rlly great but the first one makes a great point. It’s amazing the amount of help we receive mentally from just an animals companionship I think it’s safe to say a lotta ppl out there have had their lives changed by an animal in their family
Ben in the last sketch was particularly poignant. And the people who say to just not be depressed and to pull yourself together just don't understand how anxiety and depression work at all. Spreading awareness of mental health issues is something that needs to be done so thank you for releasing this supercut.
These skits are honestly really affirming. Feels like a hug across the screen. Thank you, everyone.

Love how he tries to play it off
The button is still one of the most absurdly accurate visuals i've ever seen about how people treat mental health.
*eye opening
I mean from both perspectives, the button is both true, but also useless when you're the depressed one.
The one with Adam trying to take a break from the party was really poignant, a well told story.
I felt that, I have really low bandwidth when it comes to social interaction, so I also tend to break away from time to time, usually just sitting somewhere more secluded or talk to people like me at parties
I was the one at parties who was always with the animals.
I liked that one most, that fall more for introvert people who love peace of mind and not too much noise
As a badge I've got says, "Survive out of Spite" 😉 if nothing else 🙂
I spent many years struggling with myself, but with time, you learn that you do have worth and meaning, even if it might be tough to see or accept sometimes.
But if you keep going, you have the opportunities for your life to improve, sometimes exponentially. 🙂
Keep going bud, and chin up. Keep working and one day you will realise that somehow, things HAVE gotten better, and that you are actively happy without realising.
Good luck and be stubborn, remember, you are worth it 🙂
Kids will do that to you, lol!
Have you tried snapping out of it or eating an apple?
Honestly same bro.
Said it once and I'll say it again. Best content creation team online. Thank you for making these and caring about your audience.
100% with ya .
These sketches were great! Mental health is a real issue in this world and I'm glad you guys are using comedy to bring more awareness.
… ñ
… ä
I find it weird that you had to say mental health is real as if people deny its real. I have heard lots of disagreement but never heard anyone say mental health is not real. you see it everywhere now. Crazy people. The real question is why it's blown out of control? I have my theories
Yup, outrageous acting from all.
Luna sounds awesome. Give her many hugs, including one from me.❤
@@slake9727 Thanks. She is a life saver. She can read a room like no person I know. She gets hugs all day.
This too shall pass
Funny mental health sketches that hit a little too close to home, I love how you do highlight mental health while putting in a lot of humor in them. Someone out there may have watched some of these and been inspired to take that first step to getting better. So yeah thanks for these, it means a lot to your community that you do these
Life is painful mate
@@waynedieckmann9840It is, but there can be great times too.
I have been through a lot of bad stuff in my life, and have complex PTSD as a result.
But, I keep on going, and good stuff does happen, even though at times it doesn’t seem that it will.
...and some of us watched these, waiting for the punchline and instead take that pistol out of the desk. Time to fight THAT fucking demon again. So, yeah, thanks vldl.
@@waynedieckmann9840True enough, but also 🤦♂️
I really love these.
Mental Health is still swept aside by much of society. Productions like this continue to make a change for good.
but if society cares about mental health how will we PROFIT PROFIT PROFIT!!!!!!!
Who the f*** sweeps away mental health nowadays?
If anything, big pharma overdiagnoses us in an effort to pop as many pills as possible.
Oh my gods that first sketch hit close to home. Not sure I can actually watch a whole bunch of that in a row. I'm so happy the cat saved the day 😭❤️
Similar thing happened with me years ago, and a little kitten stepped into my life out of nowhere and made things better 🙂
@@dahn57 Glad to hear it ❤️ My cat Charlie (picture) is a great support for me too. 😊
For me, its my jack russell terrier. ❤😸🐶❤
I think almost every one of these sketches left me with a lump in my throat. You guys are doing great work! I know there are tons of people all across the world who are getting some help from these, just because it reminds us that we’re not alone in this struggle. Keep it up! You’re making a difference. (:
As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression this hits home
You are absolutely right.
It really hit’s because I’m one of them who struggles!
Stay strong!
It's mad how correct the first 3 minutes is. What's crazy is a lot of us are feeling the same. Why?
@@danhall7991 my personal opinion is that it has to do with religion, but i dont want to be that guy
@danhall7991 I think it is the influence of the dark spiritual side that God allows in our lives. Intrusive thoughts are intrusive because they don't come from us.
The first one still hits really hard, and gets me to tear up. Feels very real and as I teared up, my own kitty came to cuddle up ❤ 😢
♥
This should be shown everywhere. To everyone. This is how you spread awareness
Maybe I should have just written:
"Nice video my doods"
"Take that, me... you bitch" is still a hilarious line and delivery.
Well well, fancy seeing you here.
Everytime I see that skit with Ben texting his mom it brings tears to my ears cause its been how ive been for quite a while its not as bad anymore, but there was a periode where I just never left my bed and havent been able to speak to someone about it, he play it so incredibly well.
'Simon says' was always a tremendous piece of acting by Rowan
Thank you.
The Fireheart one made me cry. I know the feelings personally, & as a mother to a son & daughter with same issues. 💜💔💜
"Funny mental health sketches" sounds a bit strange 😂
Yeah
Why
Any mention of mental health has an instinctive negative connotation. Unfortunately.
That's probably because you don't understand that a lot of humor is drawn from the absurdity of the situation.
I applaud them for taking a new way of addressing it
You all make funny sketches that are just brilliant, but these sketches are what truly make Viva La Dirt League special.
And *some of the GREATEST acting!!!* Thank you ❤
Man the last one made me cry so hard, I was hoping it would end on some happy note but it was just sadness 😢 Way too relatable..
I mean, they created a movie-level production. The whole cast have really come so far with their acting skills ❤️
These are my favorites of all the videos on the channel. I've struggled with my mental health all my life, so I really appreciate them and relate to them. Thank you for making them.
The Fureheart scene in this compilation is a tear jerker.
Fantastic acting, Ben and Brit.
A great supercut! Even with a bit of humor mental health can't be talked about enough.
The last one made me tear up. Everything you described in that last long text is exactly how I feel everyday. I'm constantly in dark spots, wondering if I'll ever get out. I've shut myself out from my family and friends. I've never had a video relate so much to me before. Thank you so much for making these
Rowan is depression and anxiety in every skit, and then he tries to be the cure and a psychologist? We all knew it wouldn't work out!
Simon says, "I'm very emotional right now," than the real Rowan comes out and is totally disrespectful lol
these sketches are genuinely some of your best, with that combination of marvellous acting, subtle humour, and really tactful and important messaging. appreciate it so much that you made these ❤
Thank you for doing these skits! It's so great that you guys make this a topic❤ Never stop! Wish you all the best❤
If Depression Was a Dude was the very first VLDL video I ever watched, the link sent to me by a fellow teacher. Fell instantly in love with this group.
I’ve been crying watching these videos. Every one of us has a struggle inside, fighting our demons every day. These mental health videos are really helping. Thank you, guys. VLDL is my most favourite channel on RUclips. And you are getting better and better. Best regards! Andrew, Russia
"Anything goddammit! None of them mean a fucking thing!"
Brilliant
My god you guys did such an awesome job getting everything right especially the anxiety and introverted videos
Thank you Viva la Dirt League, for all that you do for me and for everyone else.
these mental health and couple struggles are my fav video! i like the idea that cat on the first video helped the bad thoughts go away
After Ben ran away I half-expected a white shirt Brit to be on her shoulder destroying her self-confidence.
That, among most of the rest of it all really, was a heartbreaker.
Superb actors, and wonderful people ♥
Every single one of these skits are so relatable to me. Almost made me cry at the end. Absolutely amazing
If I recall correctly, Britt wrote the Fireheart sketch. If so, fantastic work Britt! And Ben was perfect for the role. He's also perfect for the Internet Overload sketch.
'That Voice' and 'Roleplaying' actually had me in tears. Great videos guys. The main guy in the voice sketch is an excellent emotive actor. Well done!
I relate so much, I can't decide if i should laugh or cry so i do both.
Both is good too
For a channel that delivers so much great comedic content, you guys hit way harder than you have any right to, lol.
@@gretchen8100 I just watched that part again. I've had that same face more times than I care to admit, for sure.
Half the time I laughed, the other half I cried. Thanks for this.
Thank you guys for making videos about mental health, Its a issue alot of people have trouble talking about. ❤
ive been watching vldl for quite some time now, but this is this the most relevant video ive seen... thank yall for portraying these things.
Mixing humour and serious issues like MH is a difficult balance.
This made me laugh and cry in equal measure. Great work. Xxx
You made so many great videos, but this one is by far the best! So many layers!!
You know rowan playing as different mental issues is not surprising i mean dude is literally the manifestation of all the problems of alan, ben, and adam
That kind of talk is liable to get him to inspire himself with a speech about his hammer (which is rightfully his, apparently.)
The last sketch had us all emotional....that one hit home...let's all face it.
We all want to speak out loud and tell what's on our heart but we don't want anyone see us breaking down...especially our mothers
may our mothers live to be 100 years old...you know you want that
It's great seeing funny but impactful sketches like these instead of whatever schools are giving us nowadays. Keep it up!
@robertnope1993
As a straight huwyte man, I'll give you one guess as to how schools treat many of their students (and that's without getting into groomers).
These are too true, Rowan just pointing over the bridge smiling 🤣💀
These videos made me cry. Thank you for being open to discussing these issues. I love you guys. ❤
bro the first one was so wholesome at the end 😭
Thank you for making these. I identified with a lot of these videos. Mixing comedy with real mental issues is a great way to get it out. Thank you, keep up the great work!
Can tell these were written by people who know *exactly* how it is. Viva ♥
The 1st sketch really hits hard
Honnestly the best and most meaningful serie of skits VLDL did ... I love everything they do, but THIS, this matters!
When Rowan is your store manager, every sketch is about mental health
Bens got me tearing up... OUTRAGEOUS
Very funny, but also painfully accurate!
Also, cats are THE BEST! Have one myself!
We’ll done VLDL for doing these skits 👏 a tough subject but you absolutely nailed it 😊
You've nailed these, had me in tears watching. Having gone through quite a few of these recently while also trying to help raise 3 kids and hold down a full-time job. This helped, cheers guys 👍
Im 4 minutes in and I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. If you ever watched self help things or been around narcissists, this video is spot on. Best video I've ever seen from you all!
I think if your 4 minutes in and thinking like that your probably just crying. It's gonna be OK man.
ur mom@@Jyes12345
I just gotta say these all were rlly great but the first one makes a great point. It’s amazing the amount of help we receive mentally from just an animals companionship I think it’s safe to say a lotta ppl out there have had their lives changed by an animal in their family
Ben in the last sketch was particularly poignant. And the people who say to just not be depressed and to pull yourself together just don't understand how anxiety and depression work at all. Spreading awareness of mental health issues is something that needs to be done so thank you for releasing this supercut.
The suicidal thought in the first skit just made me lose it with laughter 😆👏🏼🤗😆 You all are Awesome👏🏼😆
