I’m starting to think it’s not an act… considering the state of things it wouldn’t surprise me if they all fight with depression or anxiety or have a tendency to dissociate, or even suicidal thoughts. Look, if any of you feel like you need someone to talk to, even to the guys in viva la dirt league, you can come to me if you feel up to it, I know it can be excruciating to even bring yourself to talk about the things your dealing with with someone you care about, likely much more so to a stranger. I don’t judge, I’ve caused pain to others I can’t forgive myself for, I’ve been wrong by others and can’t bring myself to forgive them, I’ve been broken for so long and it’s to the point I’m an amazing listener… but I don’t know how to truly talk one on one. I can’t seem to bring myself to speak, because I hate myself and believe I deserve every bit of pain I go through… my name is Justin Holdren. Leave a comment in any of my videos to get in touch with me or add me on facebook messenger. I’m the guy with headphones on holding a big fish

@@Dawood_Awan Honestly, I wonder if he's acting at all, or just being himself. With many of the Mental Health videos they've done (even the maybe unintended ones, like when Ben meets Sunbro in the Dark Souls ones), he really does make it seem so natural, like he's just being himself.
Also, Ellie is such a babe. I don't mind saying it, nobody's going to read this comment anyway.

The roleplaying sketch with Brit and Ben is honestly perfection. Many gamers retreat into games to live a life they want to live because of their own mental health issues. You'd be surprised to know how many of your online gaming friends are suffering silently in their every day lives. This does a great job to pull back the curtain.

Still not in a good place at the moment but I guess the medication I got helps. Yeah that first sketch is so accurate. Thanks to the team for all of these! Magic kitten dispels depression, anxiety, ...
Okay. There is often some truth to that. Particularly if said magic kitten has a large personality and is heavily bonded to the individual having issues. We can only hope for the individual to form multiple additional bonds and support. Social animals are ment to be social. Even the antisocial from time to time. :-)
? Wait. Did Ben fail to spend quality cuddles time and feed the kitten in the morning? No wonder he had a bad day.

To be completely fair, eveyone is scared. People who don't have mental issues are afraid of losing their friend, who's probably never shown them their weaknesses, to this monster of sadness, anxiety and fear that their friend are posting in front of them and calling it with the same name of the same friend that for years, having hidden all this, seemed more happy go lucky and ok with his personal life.
People are scared because losing a friend to depression and crippling anxiety is bad for both parties, so most people just try what their brain tells them would world for THEM, but clearly not for their friend. They're simply too focused on themseleves, in a non negative way, to notice how their "helping" isn't working, subconsciously speaking. That's why they "don't understand" most of the time, because they try to, but deep down they still can't. Not eveyone can.
But that's where you draw the line. If they start being toxic, and when confronted they choose to deliberately ignore the effects that this "help" is having on you, dump them. They'll eventually come around with an apology and some better understanding skills, or they won't come around at all.

As a badge I've got says, "Survive out of Spite" 😉 if nothing else 🙂
I spent many years struggling with myself, but with time, you learn that you do have worth and meaning, even if it might be tough to see or accept sometimes.
But if you keep going, you have the opportunities for your life to improve, sometimes exponentially. 🙂
Keep going bud, and chin up. Keep working and one day you will realise that somehow, things HAVE gotten better, and that you are actively happy without realising.

Those sketches are so relatable... I know how heavy everything is sometimes and in order not to show weakness you repeat to yourself that everything is going to be fine, taking charge of everything and everyone so that the rest of the people around you don't feel bad. Sometimes you just want to lock yourself up, alone, with no one around so you can have a little peace without worrying about how others will be, because as soon as you open the door what worries you most is to make sure everyone around you is okay, regardless of how you are. Because you tell yourself that you can do everything, knowing how exhausting it is, you have keep going. Several of your sketches have brought tears to my eyes because I can identify with them, but seen it from outside is different that suffering it. That is what I have been through. And I prefer to prevent those around me from going through this, so if someone has to go through it, let it be me, because I know how much I can endure.
