His parents divorced, and he was raised by his mother until his father had to take him away when her boyfriend abused him. His mother died from an overdose in 2009.
My dad over dosed about 10 years ago. He was on drugs for years and we didn’t know until he OD’d. He survived (because he works in a hospital and OD’d at work) thank god, but this song still hits me hard wondering how I would be in life without my dad. My family was hours away from him when we found out and no one could find him for hours. I’m so lucky to still have him and he has been clean ever since ❤️
This was probably one of my absolute favorite songs from him. It was a true story which you probably guessed, and he’s just such an honest guy, I don’t think I’ve ever heard one of his song and not been like “wow! That was deep.” I actually got into BTS right after him because they both had really deep lyrics that I could connect to, and when I was done listening to them I was always thinking about things in a different light. Great reaction guys. Lots of love
I was into BTS before NF, then I think 2-3 years after, I came into NF and I instantly was in awe. I still love both, though their music styles different, they portray similar messages and I couldn't be more grateful.
You really really need to go on the "NF Journey"! It is a story from first album up to The Search. Mansion, Therapy Session, Perception, then The Search. And afterwards his single Paid my dues.
I can tell you this much, my mom walked out when I was 3, left me behind for drugs. I'm 49 with two daughters, it's definitely fucked me up for life. I couldn't get along with their mother, who is the love of my life , because of my own issues with relationships.
@@bandieloficial8884 the reactors mentioned how Eminem was much more aggressive addressing his mom in comparison to nf so they were just mentioning that em apologized. They know this is nf, not Em.
@@bandieloficial8884 I’m much aware of the 2 I’m old enough to have grown up only knowing of em until recently when NF was more mainstream. My comment was in regards to the reactors saying that both em & NF have had rough relationships with with their mothers but in NFs situation he has to apologize to her spiritually since she has passed & em apologized in his song Headlights.
Notice in the video, the mom never is high when they are around. The few times she did visit them? He still painted a good picture of his mom, even though he was angry. The video is very important to the song.
This song made me tear up first time i heard it. If you guys are interested in hearing another song with raw emotions, you guys should react to “daddy” by korn. It’s probably one of, if not the most horrifying and saddest song ever recorded. It’s an experience you gotta do!
I have a drug problem Been addicted half my life (26 yo now) I started to feel like i would die recently And my mom begged me to stop with tears in her eyes So i decided to quit Only been clean for 2 weeks now Having a hard time constantly fighting the urge to use Wish me luck
If offense was taken about my comment about NF being a Christian I apologize. To respond to your comment u are 100% right he definitely knows how to express himself. I wish that I could but I suffer from social anxiety disorder & depression a double whammy. So I can surely relate to his music
you don't. I feel like everyone suffers from both anxiety and depression nowadays, some carry the weight better than others. me and Belen are constantly depressed and filled with anxiety, but no offense taken.
That's horrible, I hope your dealing with it in a healthy way to better yourself in whatever you do and whatever you are into, give it your all and let no one tell you otherwise, there's greatness waiting for you. Hope this helps but I'm sure its a small cancelation and thanks for spending your time with us.

During the last verse, the producers & engineers left the studio for Nates privacy.
