    2 notes - get a square container to make the soap in, it'll make pouring easier and less messy. 2nd, flip the cutter and cut from the top loaf down, it'll make it much easier. Great job!

    It was reassuring to see an experienced soap maker like yourself try something new and get nervous! Absolute inspiration

    In Minnesota you have get to reregister your business make and it’s free after you do it the first time. Every year I get a bunch of “businesses” That can do it for 300 or more for me.
    Yes! Only go to your states website for all of that stuff or your accountant… who does it for me.
    You got lucky with them just giving up your money back. Thank goodness!
    And yes, your Employee Identification Number (EIN) should be free.

    Congratulations, I know how nervous I was with my first slab, not quite as big as yours but it was still a huge change. I’m getting used to it, but huge congratulations on getting your lines in the right place…I still manage to mess mine up 🤣. 🥳👏💕

    I’m sorry that happened to you with the paperwork for The Employer Identification Number - EIN. The government websites are pretty easy to work with. That soap came out fabulous! How did you calculate the amount for the mold to the exact point?! May I suggest a big stainless steel pot for these very large pours. Ariane Arsenault uses them and she pours big slabs. 14 to 16 quarts should be a good size for that particular mold. Good stuff…love that soap! ❤️

      @JerikaZimmerman  7 месяцев назад +2

      Yep! Once I knew the correct way, it was so quick and easy! Dodged a bullet with that one!

    • @JerikaZimmerman
      @JerikaZimmerman  7 месяцев назад +1

      To get the exact amount, I started with knowing how much soap fits into the slab mold, which was described as 24 LBS. then on soap calc, I entered my oil weight. I kept adjusting it until it read over “24 LBs” in the total soap weight field. I know there’s a more mathematical way to do it, but I’m not a math girlie so this way was easiest for me 😅

      @@JerikaZimmerman Actually, yeah, I admit to this too…🤣..I tried the math way and it just doesn’t do it for me…😂…I think this is easier…👌🏾

    Hey Jerika! This is a little (or a lot 😬) unrelated, but I’m hoping you could help. I look to you for just about everything related to my business 😍 right now I’m thinking about selling gift baskets for Valentine’s Day at the farmers market and another vending event. I was looking for ideas of what to put in them or how to set them up, or even if they’re recommended. If you (or anyone reading this comment) have any advice on gift baskets, please let me know! I’ve googled and even asked chat gpt lol, I’m getting a lot of ideas that are too much (not cost wise but there’s too much in the baskets. I would like to put a body butter, scrub bar and body spray in my basket. Thank you for your help! ❤

    My slab is smaller than that one and I have made probably 8-10 slabs so far. I still freak out a little 😂. But you did it! I agree that a square container makes pouring so much easier!

      It’s so much raw material that could be wasted if something goes wrong so I think I’ll always feel nervous with these guys 😅
