I've always loved this song, even though the lyrics are... something else. I say it every time and I'll say it again, Yuuka's voice is so amazingly diverse and I'm super impressed. The fact that this is an acoustic cover makes it 10x better.
I actually like this more than the original because instead of making this hyper like the original or sad to match the lyrics, she actually make it more relaxed making it melancholic and nostalgic at the same time that it makes it more sadder
I've heard YORU no KAKERA being sung in so many iterations, but this is definitely the chillest version I've heard. The guitar strumming freely and the casual singing of our favorite mutated koala both complement each other, making for an excellent combo. I really love this cover!! I'm imagining a choreography to this cover where the guy from the original music vid is dancing with the "Death Girl" where it looks like he's trying to direct her away from him while the girl is trying to beckon him somewhere off-screen (i.e., a bridge). Then at the end rather than fight her movements, he joins along with her's and they both end up off-screen at the end.
