The thing about nightmares is that it is our reality in the moment. It is very scary when the world is that hostile to you and makes you feel so insecure and dismal. Even if it doesn't make sense it made you feel awful so that's all that matters, so there's no reason to feel weird about being scared by it.

I’m genuinely scared rn- I’m in my bedroom alone and I woke up at like 4 in the morning from one of the night mares I hate having... I’ve never cried over a nightmare but I could with this one... and I saw this tiktok of this really freaky person and it’s dark in my room- so I just wanna cry rn...
I hope you managed to get some nice sleep. I hate freaking myself out at night, but I also love true crime, so its a hard line to walk. Make a Playlist of comforting asmr, just in case that happens again you can have it on hand! 💕

I was having the worst nightmare. I was in this dystopian hell hole where I was working for pennies on the dollar and not making rent. Trapped in a country where the people value materialism rather than people. We elected a idiot for a president, the economy went so horribly wrong. I worked a night shift job going nowhere, a lonely loser who has nothing left to lose but everything to be anxious over.
