- 0.45x Super Wide & Macro Adaptor Lens m43 Review
I review an excellent way to get a wider image without spending silly money on your DSLR or M43 Camera.
The end effect is very pleasing for the price and I would urge everyone on a budget to consider trying one of these lenses, especially of video work.
I found a selection on Amazon for the Panasonic Vario 14-42 for you to browse (just double check your diameter with a ruler):
USA: amzn.to/2junpKV
UK: amzn.to/2jCjvx6

Thanks you lovely people, and keep on tinkering!
Thanks for the video! Just what i needed. But do you have a new link for the UK version? Keep up the great videos!
I've seen a really good .7x adapter on RUclips for $50, but can't find one for sale anywhere :(. This one doesn't look like great quality. It is very soft around the outside. However, if you shot wide open and were going for small depth of field, this could help that effect AND the small depth of field could mask the blurryness a bit I guess.
Hi, What is the brand name for this lens? thank you
Shaun Davenport Just had a look, no marked brand. I would go by the description + picture on eBay or Amazon. unbranded OEM product.
Shaun Davenport that does indeed look like a version for Nikon. As they are relatively generic I would go by the diameter of your lens. I have two lenses in my kit bag that are exactly the same specification optically but totally different diameters.
I have a gh4 with a Vario 14-42. Do you maybe have a link for where I can find the one you have? It looks like we may have the same lens?
+Shaun Davenport I have 14-140 lenses and both have different diameters despite being both Panasonic. I will be able to look up more information tomorrow, however I have updated the links in the comments to narrow your search! Best thing is to measure the diameter with a ruler to be sure.
Thanks so much!
Cool Lens and for a good price :) Happy New year!!
+The Gamesman Happy New Year to you as well! Did you notice it is now filmed in super smooth 50 frames per second. I am practically IMAX now :)
Imax with flair! haha, my eyes did not pick up on the 50fps, but good job though, really impressed with the price of that lens!
+The Gamesman My only annoyance is that it does not fit my prime lenses as they have a slightly smaller diameter. At that price I will just buy a set I think and a few fun filters.
yeah why not! it is a bargin! Are there any at that price that does fit your prime lens??
+The Gamesman Um I just spent a little more and have an incredible lens range boost coming. I will post a video, is very exciting!!!
I have the same adapter on my GX80/85, with the 37mm thread as the GX80 primary has a smaller diameter. I see a wider angle but at the 12mm zoom setting of my standard 12-32 GX80 lens I get substantial vignetting, ie a large blank circle, so I have to zoom in slightly to get rid of the vignette, which somewhat defeats the purpose of the adapter. Why is it that your camera does not show vignetting and mine does?
my lens starts at 14mm so I guess the extra width of the 12mm is affecting the optics.
What focal length did you zoom in to get rid of the blank circle on the 12-32mm lens?
Hi, well done.
Can you provide me the link in uk please?
+Flavio Figueiredo Did you try the link in the description?
Is it also good for the G7?
+Viktor Tollasi yep 👍
will it work if I have a 12-60mm lens?
+Brown Sugar I don't see why not
I know I’m late.... did it work with the 12-60mm?
I know I’m late.... but did it work with the 12-60mm?
Dr. Luke is that you?
