Great film making - the video really draws you in to want to watch all of it! Love the enthusiasm as much as the scenery - and the amazing fishing!! Look forward to next one son!
A cracking session with some nice fish taking your lures, your energy enthusiasm and passion really shines through in this brilliant video. Well done thanks for sharing
cheers Brian, Skye really is a unique area for the pollack. over on the east coast you'd be happy to get one of these fish for a days out. thank you for all the comments, undoubtably another trip there will happen 🎣👍
Beautiful scenery 👍 some nice Pollock 🎣 and most probably a white tailed sea eagle 👍 what's not to like 👍 great wee video mate 👍 well done 🎣 Im off up in a cpl of weeks can't wait 🎣🎣 it's a stunning place to fish
thanks for the feedback arnie. Because of this comment I've done some research and I think your bang on about the eagle. I was thinking it was a probably going to end up being buzzard or something boring like that. that's bloody brilliant thank you very much 👍 im sure you will have a blast up there, to me there seemed to be a LOT of fish. I hope you get good conditions. id be happy to share the place where this video was shot with you- if you don't mind a bit of a climb down- if you'd like.
Absolutely brilliant mate 👏 👌 Skyes a beautiful place am off up there on friday for 2 nights hunting a big pollock . Your videos are superb. I sent you a comment on the arbroath video mate....
Pleased you enjoyed it. It is- has to be my favourite place in the country. Good luck for when your up, I was up at Oban last weekend trying for skate and stuck a lure rod in for the pollack. 4 nice 3-4lb fish so they are starting to show up in numbers already. It will be mint, tight lines 👍
Great bud Eto; we’ll find! Some good information too and some lovely pollock! I do the drive up to Skye every 5 or 6 weeks as it’s magic to hike, explore and find marks - a 700 mile round trip for me. but worth it! The North of the island gets less tourists and had some amazing deep water marks, up around Flodigarry area ( known as the Aird) and obviously it worth a trip to Neist Point etc - but as you did; finding your own marks and new areas is the business! Great stuff! Was this down Elgol way?
Hi Garry, I must have missed this message. Its always good to hear from other people which fish Skye. 700 mile round trip is hard going but i think id be driving that too if I lived that distance 😄. This was basically south of niest point on that headland type thing. I think it was macleods maidens to be exact. I have heard of a good one at elgol if you walk a mile or so east from the car park. thanks for the comment Garry 👍🎣🐟
It's a long walk out there - I will be going out there on my kayak this summer. My theory on the big fish you lost - genuinely big fish, snags you in the weed, comes off, when lure comes free small pollock grabs at the lure as there are so many fish there. And my guess is sea eagle. There are lots on that side of the island.
I like the theory. There were more than enough fish down there to back it up. That will be excellent. Fishing it from a kayack will be about as close to heaven as you can get in my opinion 😂. Have a good one and tight lines 🎣
@@UntouchedFishing I was fishing Neist one time and there were so many saithe, if I lost one I would just keep reeling and would get another take. Yes, I can't wait to get out there in the kayak 🎣🎣
thanks Ian. the number of fish up there blew my mind. id heard that there was a lot but I couldn't have imagined that there's as many as there is. it ended up being 22 pollock in around 4 hours.... nuts
I didn't get footage unfortunately, I planned to film day 3 but the forecast changed overnight so I didn't bother. there's not a chance I won't be back so ill get some more footage up there when I am. Appreciate it though Joe 👌
Love the video you should look at the Abu Garcia fishing rod holder backpack you can clip your rods to the side so you can clim and walk with tow hands make it safer when your on a side off a cliff I’ve had the back pack for 2 years and got to a lot more harder spots cos I’ve had 2 hands free love the video again hope that helps climbing cliffs and something your interested in
thanks Robert. ill definitely have a look at these. what your talking about would be absolutely ideal for a few marks that I fish and to be fair any mark when lure fishing. very handy advice. Appreciate it a lot 👍👍
Appreciate it Iz, colab must have to be on the cards for one of these days. im sure 'discovering a pollock goldmine' wouldn't do too badly on pike and perch!😆 👌
When Google Maps are not great, you can 'rewind' to earlier image sets, which are often better. Also, sometimes Bing Maps has great aerial images and has OS maps layer as well.
25 years ago a friend moved to Kyle of lochalsh and six of us fished the harbour wall there was a local otter that raided the fishing boats and posed for pictures .we where spinning for mackerel then a mate caught the oddest thing a eel on a spinner ! Magic place
ahah yes I was bitten to shit by the end of the day, the midges were one thing but the ticks were the worst. spent about 20 mins that evening pulling them off me. got to love it 😂
That deserves 10 out of 10 , the long drive the long walk and climbing before even fishing , and then the joys of tent up in the dark.🎣
thanks arch, can't beat the sequence of events in my opinion. com-plete heaven. 👍😄
Amazing location
Great energy

I definitely need to get some heavy duty lure fishing equipment and go to Skye.
If you foul hook a fish it feels much much bigger.

fantastic story! to me, eel on a spinner seems a bit like a poisoned chalice. Great to get on the line until it comes to unhooking it!
Nice vid, pity about your rod 😢
Legend
cheers mate 👌
bro looks like the fishing version of Steve will do it
That was a white tailed sea eagle.
Thanks mate, cool to know 👍
Could pull fish out the bath you! 😂
I’d give it a shot if conditions were too bad to go out in 😂
👍👍
Dispense with the music please
I made it to 1 minute, but the music killed me.
Please redo the vid WITHOUT THE MUSIC.
