Annie Lenox knows who she is, where she came from, and her place in history. With humbleness she chose humanity over relevance, which is why she couldn’t be more relevant in our world today. Thank you for the music, and showing us the way to things that really matter.
@Trust me I'm a Doctor Trust me I'm a Doctor, but there can be such beauty in a crazy woman - a girl friend I once had cut her hair short too - I adored it

Been listening to her since ~1983, over 50 here. Dressed as her for Halloween, including dyeing my hair with the exact same hair dye she used at the time. Big fan, even have a 45 rpm from her very first band.
i was at a meditation class one day in London and there was one seat spare next to me. Just as we were about to start someone came rushing in and sat down beside me. it was Annie Lennox! All i had in my head throughout the whole meditation was 'Sweet Dreams'. She spoke at the end and was intelligent and kind..much like she is here..lovely woman.
Too bad you didn't whisper "Sweet dreams are made of this". My sister met Dustin Hoffman in a K-Mart. He was with his sons and didn't want to be bothered, but my sister just said to him "K-Mart Sucks" LOL! (Line from Rainman). He laughed.
Annie is a national treasure. She is seemingly fearless on the outside but warm and caring in the inside. She is right about artists being sensitive. I love her voice and her music. I think she and Dave Stewart were both Mavericks IMO.

I've never heard any scandal coming from her. She comes across as very likeable and her voice is very soothing. I didn't know she was Scottish. She's not trashy, and not male bashing either, just a normal person. Even if she wasn't famous If she sang in a bar i would stay all night and listen to her.

There's something very beautiful about this woman beyond her music, voice and beauty. It's her mind and her warm heart. She is very special in all kinds of ways. Be happy Annie.
She is a true artist. An amazing women that is classically trained singer and can belt like the best of them. The comments about being an artist and being vulnerable and her having ‘melancholy’ illustrates how humble she is. She is a true lady.
I remember when I was probably just a teen I saw her doing an interview in the early 80s and she walked in with that amazing bright hair in a very modern type of space the interview was set in and though I wasn’t really into her music then, I felt she was from another world that was kinder and more beautiful than ours. She was so comfortable being her.
