I agree. The Tri-stars never had Gelgoogs, because all three were killed at Odessa.
It makes for a cool “what if” custom build anyway!
they do get them in ghirens greed in fact in one of the openings you see them with their high mobility gelgoogs
@@ZakuAurelius True. Besides, I've been a fan of the Gelgoog since I saw them in action in 0083, especially Cima's custom. Wish they had an MG of hers.
@@pugwash1 I never played this. I gotta dust off the PS2 to see if it still works. Then hit a retro gaming store (we got several here in NYC) to see if they have it.
@@michaelt.lancaster9776 yeah giherns greed does what ifs alot like where the gyan was approve for production over the gel good or char getting the rx-78 and so on
The Black Tri Star Origin Zakus seemingly being inspired by old fan made models back in the late 90's was really cool to learn about.
The scratch built ship and proto dom were both amazing… thank you for sharing

I was hoping to see Dom Gross Beil during this, but I guess dom with a big sword isn't as popular as i think it would be
I’m guessing Max’s studio had access to an Alps printer to design custom trim decals for his Dom projects.
Were those around in the late 90s as well? 🤔
@@ZakuAurelius affirmative, though hella expensive to acquire at the time. Back when Usenet was a thing there were builders who would print out decal sheets if you provided the graphic files. Or if you had the $$ and the right contacts you could get a specialty printer like Cartograf to print what you needed
That Diorama in the snow is beautiful! I can't wait to get my copy and get a better look at it. Hopefully bandai will decide to use the 1.5 parts and release a Dom Tropen or even one of the Prototype Doms to stand next to the Prototype Gouf
Some Japanese to learn and fun. Surprising that there is other mobile suit kits besides the DOM for the Tri-Stars just to fill in the pages. All of the DOMs are amazing.

dom high speed experiment type is my favorite dom
I used to hate the design of the Dom, but it's grown on me over the past decade or so and now I love the thing. Ah, yes; Guyya, Mush, and Ortiga, the superior spelling of their names :P
My favorite Zeon ms so this mook is fantastic for me
The jet engines on that chainsaw Dom look like they might be the nacelles off of an A-10 Thunderbolt II kit.
Sadly they did do a reprint on p Bandai of both dwadges last year some time and sadly I missed out on grabbing the kai! And now he haunts me at night....
This is the perfect mook for me!
meanwhile it would be funny if somebody mod a MG Dom into the Dom Trooper from SEED Destiny, a U.C. unit became a Cosmic Era unit, lol.

I could be wrong but it seems to me that the Dom and its' variants are the #1 favorite design for serious modding by hardcore builders these days.
the decals might be fromm old 1/100 real type no grades
I thought about that but after trying it myself on a Gelgoog I can tell you they usually don’t match up cause the proportions are updated from the old 1/100 to the MG
@@ZakuAurelius the real type dom or the gelgoog? Im assuming its type a typing error. it must of just been custom decals. sort of like samuel decal.
