There are no entry level data eng roles out there. It's impossible to get a job in data eng without heavy SQL on your resume. The only real option you have is the data analyst role.
Yeah. I've seen that also. Companies are trying to discourage recent grads and the bootcamps morons so they are putting 2-3 years of experience in order to filter out the resumes.

I'd choose the DE role or MLE role before deciding, then build your path around that. If you have enough SQL on your resume and can get past the SQL interview then you might look into SnowFlake. Hi Mike!..i am going to start learning the data analyst skills...but I am afraid that Ai will replace these jobs...any advice?
Nope. Not going to happen.
I am a student working remotely as a full stack web developer (I work with noSQL databases), but I don't want to continue in this field. The end goal is to become a machine learning engineer. I have 2 more years in university, and by graduation I will have at least 6 months of ML engineering internships on my resume.
Do you think I am going to have to start off with a data analyst role? If not, what do you think is the best way to secure a ML Job by graduation?
There is no way in the US. You simply won't get a job in ML without heavy SQL and data experience on your resume.
Hi Mike,
I am a junior c# web developer, and I want to know from you how to save our jobs from these AI tools.
is it a wise decision to shift my career to the data domain due to the rise of AI which will impact the software engineer job?
what skills set we need to learn so that it will never obsolete easily with the rise of AI.
I don't much about where the AI models are at developing serious code. I know there isn't an AI tool that can source data.
You mention Data Analyst being the only entry level job in data, but there are a few Junior Data Scientist / Engineer jobs popping up. Would they still mainly prioritize people with Data Analyst experience? Also do you have any advice for bootcamp grads in todays job market?
A junior level anything means 2-3 years of experience. You'll never get a data eng role or MLE role without SQL on your resume. That means you've worked with it for a few years in a real-world role. Bootcamps are a joke. Sorry.
@@thedatajanitor9537 I do understand the importance of SQL which was one of my blindspots preventing me from passing technical interviews. However, I do know a few people who got Data Science jobs after completing a bootcamp. Thank you for your content and the non bullshit approach!
Several failed inserts into a table, then I correct the syntax and successfully insert in and the auto-increment number of the primary key get gapped. Does this really matter in your opinion? I've checked stackexchange and they said no as it supposed to be unique not sequential.
The gapping of the primary key isn't a problem. It would be ideal if it's not gapped but it doesn't matter to the health of the db or table.
@@thedatajanitor9537 "CREATE DATABASE. It creates an empty database shell. " What's an "empty database shell"? I don't get it in my language.
Hello Mike I have a question about learning data analytics: can I learn data analytics core skills for free (YT and Google)? All I have is paper, pen and internet
Mostly. You'll need to pay for the certifications but and it will be hard passing the certs without exam sims but it can be done.

Hey Mike, can you elaborate on what a data analyst interview structure should be (in general)?
Hey, I was wondering which industry would be most beneficial for a Data Career in the future? Finance or Tech, currently I'm working as an Analyst in a Consulting Firm.
All of them. Almost all industries need skilled data professionals right now. The need is not industry specific. You can work anywhere you want if you have the skills.
So Janitor, im doing courses, to build skills. Other than projects, certificates of completion are worthless?
Yep. Put them on your resume and they will be ignored... along with your resume.
@@thedatajanitor9537 shit now you made total sense. Please dont stop utubing unless u dead
LMAO. Sorry, not dead... worse... in the middle of moving.
Does google have certifications?
Yep. A few.
Is the free version of PowerBI enough to take the course? Or which one do you recommend me?
My house is based on the previous version. If you can find it free then yes. ;) I'd recommend you start with SQL.
I'll do, thanks!@@thedatajanitor9537
Hey Mike, I am a software developer and I want to transition to Machine Learning. I wanted to know what are the roles in Machine Learning that are the most similar to software engineering. I would like to work in a role that mixes Machine Learning and Software Development, since I like working with data and software.
For a Data Analyst job, will it be required a Bachelor's Degree? or an Associates Degree would be sufficient?
You may get lucky with an associates. Most companies want a bachelors.
@@thedatajanitor9537hey mike, quick follow up question. Does the bachelors degree needed to be in CS? Coz I have a degree but it’s on engineering. Thanks
Should high school students still go for CS undergrad to pursue a career in Data analyst and ML as
AI is taking over, and what is the job outlook for us in the next 10 years.
should we think about getting into Cybersecurity or Hardware?
I'd suggest statistics for ML roles. I don't believe AI is taking over as much as people believe.
Can Devin ( AI software engineer ) replace machine learning engineers ?
No.
@@thedatajanitor9537 Thanks
Can a computer science degree help to get a job as a data anlyst?
Or a Businnes analyst with IT degree can help to get a job as a data analyst?
Nope. We don't care about degrees. It's all about skills. A business analyst isn't a data analyst. Not even close.
How important is it that you know Python? I watched the video, but we must know bare minimum...what exactly? THANKS
For what role? The data analyst role? No one uses Python in the real-world for the data analyst role. It's only for the machine learning engineer and data engineer. Do you know the roles?

Sir what do you feel about the rise of LLMa and AI models like Devin. I feel it will be a much useful tool for people in the data world and in software industry. Your guess sir ?
Nope. Don't use them. Not how the real-world works.
@@thedatajanitor9537 exactly. Real world problems are much more different
Hir sir , can you please help me i am confused between data scientist devops and QA engineer role and data analyst? I mean what should i choose as career.
I would be very grateful if you can reply . I really need some help
Any thoughts on this video? ruclips.net/video/iYiD2Ray9Bk/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Why would anyone put so much importance on statistics for the data analyst role? And she claims to have worked as a data analyst before.
There is no statistics in any data analyst role. Most people don't even know what the real-world jobs look like. Here: ruclips.net/video/5iPgpad37x4/видео.html
Hey Mike
In the video you mentioned the course is free can you please send the link
Not free. Here you go: www.logikbot.com
Can we get new videos every week?
I know it's a stupid question, but I think nobody is better than you here spitting facts:
A back end engineer (3yo mainly java) with strong sql skills has more chances than a data analyst (3yo) to enter a data engineering position?
Yep. If you have SQL on your resume and you can get past the SQL interview then you can fairly easily move into data engineering.
@@thedatajanitor9537 thank you! I regret not finding this channel earlier. Wasted so much time in Faker Science at Kaggle :(
At least you know now and can set a plan and create a realistic path.
Gotta be from WPA.
What is WPA?
this guy is equivalent to jesus
Not really watch your mouth
Fuck Jesus
😂😂
He is more grater than Jesus ... Jesus himself come under him
Sir honestly it's so annoying people hyping ai with Devin coming saying it's the first software engineer and all that rubbish how did the ai fad get so bad sir ??..
Agree. I don't know anyone using it. It will take any tool two years to become vetted and used in the real-world. So, I won't know how good it is for a year or two in the applied space. I asked my dev group about it and none of them even heard of it. So, it's not on anyone's radar right now. Who knows the impact of any single tool.
@@thedatajanitor9537 this is so true , but what really eludes me why are people who are software engineers or Data analyst themselves posting content saying will ai replace data analysts or data engineers while they themselves domt give a clear answer I don't know if all those click baits to be honest 😂😂 would love to hear your view on it why are people working in data spreading misinformation about the future..
Hello sir should i buy m3 macbook pro or m3 pro chip macbook pro which will be better for AI and machine learning
