    Way to go you two! Doing anything at -20 F is quite the accomplishment. Most folks stay indoors (including me). Claire, way to go and overcome your fear and take a ski lesson. And way to snowboard Chad. You might want some padded shorts next time. They really help to protect that tailbone. You two are so adventurous. Even going outside to get in that hot tub! Love your youthful enthusiasm! Keep up the good work and keep enjoying life!

    Awesome fun video. Proud of you Claire for finally going skiing. Never too late to try something new. What an amazing place to ski for the first time. You and chad did amazing. I never think if I’m going to do something wrong or whatever. I just go do it. From sky diving, repelling off a 5 story building with Dept of correction sert team , riding passenger in a nas car in vegas, to going on ride along with law enforcement and going 120 going code to a call to river rafting river rafting while pregnant lol upside down roller coasters. If I stop to think then I have fear I hate heights and going upside down or falling etc. I just do it and proud of myself for doing it. That’s why I’m so proud of you for doing all the things you and chad have done that are wild and crazy. You’ll have these videos and memories for life. Job well done and wish you two a safe time there and lots more fun. Great videos as always❤

    Another exciting and fun video from Jasper, Canada. Claire did a wonderful with her ice skating lesson. No doubt, Claire did so well is because she had such a excellent ski instructor. In the end, Claire realized that there is nothing to fear, except fear itself! Chad was a real champ in giving Claire all the moral support that she needed. Beautiful adventure video of Jasper, Canada!

    😁 "I think our brains need to thaw!" declares ice queen. As a semi pro skier who has skied in -35 you both rocked it 🏅🏅 (In freezing temps best to always have a thick fleece face and neck mask) Chad could be a star reporter at the north pole polar bear festival.

    Amazing how hair just gets frosted over in those temps! Reminds me of my college years in Vermont.
    Aww Chad I hope you tailbone soreness heals quickly but it looks like you had a blast on the slopes.
    You guys looked like to two frosted snow people in the hot tub…so fun!❤

    Canada is so Beautiful!
    I remember my first day skiing, I was so sore the first half of the day. The second half was much better. I've skied all over Colo. and Mammoth and Heavenly in my younger days!

    That's just crazy cold. Definitelly weather for neoprene full mask / balaclava for dh-sking and other speedy activities.

    Bravo Claire! Sking is a wonderful sport when you're young so do it now. I moved to cross country in my sixties...the body changes. Canada is beautiful 😍...from its neighbor to the south Wisconsin. Keep going...you're doing great. 👍

    Love skiing … we started learning back in 2015 at Niseko… the best part is soaking my aching body in an outdoor onsen end of the day
    I did fracture my jaw in Feb 2020 when a big skier collided into my face while he was trying a 360 spin trick just when I was overtaking him… learn my lesson the importance of safe distancing 😅

    Hi Clare (and Chad) , consider me your older Canadian auntie! Please tuck all your hair in under your hat especially when it’s wet and cold. It can really cause damage to your hair. You’re both so cute and fresh faced out on the slopes.
    Congrats for conquering your fears .

    I don't know y but i also grew this fear of failing after getting older, i think now a days everybody expects to you to be the best on day 1, and everybody post's tik toks and reels like "my first time doing..." and then the person goes and do the think like a pro

    Claire, when contemplating (or fearing) failure, I try to remember what Teddy Roosevelt said on the subject:
    “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”
    Don't worry about being judged by people too timid to get off their couches. Revel in the thrill of doing.
