- An Elden Ring player tries Dark Souls 2 for the first time! Today I am continuing to play through Dark Souls 2. The only issue is that Dark Souls 2 is incredibly painful to playthrough. I've been playing through every souls game including Elden Ring, Sekiro, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 1, and now Dark Souls 2.

if you go to 0 stamina, you are unable to sprint until your stamina returns to full. small detail people miss with DS2
Except when you roll and then you immediately try to sprint, then you can sprint

Completely understand, I'm hiring multiple new editors right now to get more videos out and I liked the dark souls 3 video more as well. I think I'll tell this editor to try and match the less is more approach like my other videos. Good feedback!

Haha, yeah, Spicy asked to turn up the memes.. so I did. But man, I think i lost my mind during the dragon boss fight. Theres at least 40 minutes of clipped footage, that consists mostly of him running or getting hit, or complaining.

In case nobody else told you, in Dark Souls you're punished by letting your stamina reach zero. You won't be able to sprint after being out of stamina until it fully refills.

Also the sprint doesn't work because you're completely draining your stamina. If you run your stamina bar the whole way down, you have to wait until it fills again to sprint. Adds more depth to the combat imo as opposed to DS3 and Elden Ring the roll spam simulators where stamina management is completely obsolete and you can just roll spam/run out of every bad situation.
It's cool but it would be less annoying if you didn't run out of stamina after 2 rolls
@@Hirohitorunguard you don't lol. Even on an SL1 run you're not running out of stamina in "two rolls".
He's using one of the heaviest stamina consuming weapons and neglecting all aspects of the game and blaming the game lmao

Well this should be interesting. I enjoyed DS2 but there r some aspects of it that I didn't really like. But even then, it's not shit like so many people say.

You have played all the souls games :D and you still get surprised when you get your stamina to 0 and you can't sprint before it hit around 70% or 80% again, a youtuber being a youtuber ;)

I am one of those that would 100% watch a video where we see your reaction to ng+ here in ds2, and no more then lets say 1 stream worth would be enough content for you to see differences and for us to get the reaction.
DS2 is fucking awesome :) Only haters will hate, real players will see the beauty and awesomeness that is in ds2. Only flaw is that it tried to be elden ring before the world was ready for it ;)

This gane might have its flaws but overall its really fun
Ancient Dragon is a bad fight imo, every time I play DS2 I just grab the Gyrm Greatshield because it blocks all fire damage. you just stand there and block his stupid fire attack he spams constantly and laugh.
Dark souls to is objectively horribly made but it is so fun for me. Its my favorite of the series for replaying. First time playthroughs of ds1 and bloodborne were better but ove put so much time in ds2 i love it

@@menderbug1 the combat is the worst of the series it's so slow and clunky, despite that I enjoy the slow combat it makes it feel even more weighty than the other games. Almost every encounter with enemies is a trap and now you are fighting 10+ dudes. There are enemies that don't make sense for how slow the game is the flame sorcereress for example their combustion like melee attack comes out faster than most attacks you can make and can easily one hit you with the added counter DMG.
The game is full of bosses that aren't really bosses like the congregation and the skeleton princes. Lifegems are a crutch and completely get rid of the "I'm almost out of estus is it worth trying to find the next bonfire or do I head back".
Loved every upload on this channel up till this video, the editing is to much. Every 3 seconds a meme is shoved in my face, or a sound que is randomly inserted. Sorry but it doesn't add to the video, I would prefer to watch the gameplay and listen to what Spicy has to say rather than see the editors reaction to any situation that happens on screen. Having two or three of these moments in the video is fine and can spice up the content nicely, but they have to atleast be somewhat relevant to the situation. Otherwise, thanks for uploading more videos as I'm not a big vod watcher, but you are my becoming my favorite souls-tuber :)

I was thinking along the same lines that this video isn't quite in-line with my regular content style and I'm gonna have the editor that did it make some changes to their style. I have multiple editors right now so there's a lot happening on the channel!

People not paying attention and learning mechanics as simple as stamina is why they dont enjoy the game as much.
