Looks like a bigger and better version of the N land wave and just as tricky to catch. 😂 thanks for sharing. Able to better visualize the take off. Make sure not to paddle too early off to the corner. Stay parallel to the pier for momentum then angle off with the wave. 🤔
Do they use fresh or salt water? Chlorinated? As you know salty water offers more buoyancy due to the increased density. I've never surfed in freshwater but I could imagine it feeling odd. How tall is the rider because that wave almost looks like a decent size?
@@dsetto Nice one, thank you. I'm in New Zealand so its unlikely I get to surf it. The RUclips algorithm threw me another short vid last night so I searched out the website. I was wondering about pricing. Google reckoned $100 per person per day admission. And that Redbull booked the whole place for $70k. I wonder if he turns a profit.
@davel4708 good question! Sometimes they'd video from the ski & shout coaching instructions about what the wave is going to do next.. but i presume it's also a safety feature... though they never stop to check on ya' when you fall :)
@MikeListon-tk8ir lol... pretty much everyone's 1st time there & though it looks perfect, it's a little tricky getting comfortable...not pros & each wave is pretty spendy, so folks try not fall ! If you look at a couple of my lefts, i found the barrel a couple of times, thankfully:)
@@dsetto unfortunately i am Banned from all wave pools as i tend to displace so much water power carving that lots of it gets stuck in orbit ,thus disrupting space travel
The mechanics are kool I worked there with oceaneering ....

@@waynoswaynos I'm about 6'1".. freshwater, i believe, but the floatation felt pretty normal.

@@waynoswaynos I wasn't involved in booking this day, so not sure how they charge, etc..
@@waynoswaynosthe one in Abu Dhabi is $1000 for the expert session. Also it’s salt water. 🤙
@@ed1pk Wow, crazy. But I guess if you have money to burn, why not. Thanks!
really cool yew
What is the purpose of the guy on the JetSki?

Pollution
shits all over urban surf in Sydney
Why is everybody in this vide so afraid of the barrel?

Because they r stuck in the white water
looks a bit mushy
@swibwi lol.. well there are different wave settings.. some more barreling than others.. but i wouldn't classify any of them as "mushy" :)

@@swibwi epic !! LOL
@@swibwi I thought you were going to say that because your so fat that it creates a type of super high tide which make the waves mushy.
