  • A cool little area I found right near our campsite that I thought was really neat. Looks like someone's little getaway spot. Notice the blue bar of soap on the rock by the creek. lol. The only way to get here is by boat (and only when Lake Jocassee is high enough to access) or to hike in, and I believe the closest parking area is 5.3 miles away by a "strenuous" trail. Definitely one of my favorite places to primitive camp. Only 40 min away from home.

I loved this spot! However, it was our first trail hike with a backpack. Our packs were heavy and I blew my knee out 3/4 of the way in. I had to be rescued and taken out by gator. It took the gator 4 hours to make the 5.3 mile trek. THIS IS VERY STRENUOUS UP AND DOWN ALL THE WAY.
