I could go into all the members, but as you were interested in the dancers, the main choreo/dance line consists of: -at 45:55, on the left with red hair: choreo/dance leader Rie. Known for his clean, precise lines. -in the same frame in the middle: main dancer Yoojung. Known for elegant, expressive dancing. Former backup dancer for Wonder Girls, and gg choreo king. -the long-haired dancer you kept noticing: lead dancer Junji. Known especially for his freestyle dance skills. OOO have a wide range of song styles, but they still always sound distinctly OOO, and explore the same stories, but from various angles. Not long after they debuted, there was a long magazine interview where their musical style was dissected. Their main influences were 1st/2nd gen r&b-influenced sensual kpop, industrial ebm, and dance music. Some songs lean more one way, some the other. Most of their title tracks since libidO have leaned more and more towards ebm ('libidO' more sensual with some ebm touches, the next tt 'Skinz' about 50/50, the Japanese tt 'chrOme arts' more industrial, and 1-2 months after that, 'seOul drift' also more industrial, but with some sensual elements). The change matches the subject matter, as they moved from discussing personal sexuality and its' relationship with society/religion to exploring the lives of marginalised people in an urban environment. Talking about 'seOul drift' and the Fast & the Furious movies, the name of the song alludes to the 3rd F&F movie, Tokyo Drift, and the mention of "Boswell" is a reference to both Yale historian John Boswell, who focused on marginalised social groups, especially homosexuals, and to Sean Boswell, the main character in Tokyo Drift. Sorry for the essay, but OOO bring that out in me. 😊
OnlyOneOf have always been an experimental group. They have their own distinctive sound which immediately let's you know it's their song - you will NEVER mistake their music for another artist's. But they are constantly switching between different styles. It's been like that since day one. They are the only artist for who I can say I love all of their tracks, some more than others admittedly, but they don't have a bad song anywhere in their discography.
Aaaaah, let's goooo! I clicked on this so fast.😅 I always enjoy your reactions and I'm so proud of these boys, what a nice surprise. As a gay person, this group is just very comfortable. They've done the work to demonstrate that they really do care about the themes they explore, I don't have to have my guard up all the time waiting for them to disappoint me, and that's a special thing to find in any medium or genre. Thank you for giving them a shot!
Aaahhhhh the is EVERYTHING! I love that you feel that way about them. ❤️ Having your guard up so often can be so taxing and exhausting, and it’s nice to find solace in an artist that makes you feel comfortable and represented. ❤️ It’s a shame they are so underrated. They have such amazing bops! I hope more people discover them! You know we will be back for me! 😆 And thank you so much for watching this with us!!!
You should definitely check out their solo series! For choreography I'd recommend boss dance practice, i really like how they make use of their jackets there. Seoul drift definitely may feel like a big change up but if you look at the previous title tracks in order this progression kinda makes sense.
@@LaChiMoLaLaOT7 oh you should definitely go with release order if that's what you're asking, the mvs are connected in pairs and I'd say this is really the best order to experience those stories. So: begin, be free, be mine, because, beat and beyond. My fave is Junji's be mine for sure tho 💘
Without going too deep, I want to tell you about dOra maar, for example, in the lyrics they tell the personal relationship between Dora Maar and Picasso and in the choreography they tell the history of art between Dora Maar and Picaso. The seoul drift song is a rebellious story of those who are pushed aside and ignored in a city as bright as seoul and find refuge in the secrecy of the night on the edge of the city. In addition, the MV tells the story of 3 couples who meet again after the breakup and are willing to give themselves a second chance. Thanks for the reaction, I hope you come back soon to see the 6 videos of the "be" series
Thanks for getting back to Onlyoneof. There are two main dancers, yes Junji with the blond hair in angel and Yoojung who is in the centre of the starting formation in dOra maar. Also with the member that left it was Love, the leader that left for personal reasons following libidO. It is speculated by some that libidO and the whole subsequent gay storyline in their solo tracks might have been the reason. He was the guy who Nine grabbed the crotch of in the libidO choreo, so you know he went thru a lot with the libidO era.
Love this! Can’t wait to watch the video! I love these boys to the moon and back. I wish i could see your reaction to libido lol😭😩 i love seeing people lose their minds about it. Onlyoneof is not a co-ed band, it’s all males, just thought i should let you know. P.s- Anyways great reaction girls! Hope you check out more in the future❤️
Yes! moonlight moonchild is right. 😊 We know that this isn’t a co-ed band and are all male. Otherwise I would have made a huge emphasis on that too (lol); there’s never enough co-ed bands out there. KPOP or western.
@@LaChiMoLaLaOT7Makes sense! I agree though. We really do need more co-ed bands in kpop and enough don’t exist. I love Kard though. Anyways loved this reaction! Hope you guys check out more in the future❤️
@@LaChiMoLaLaOT7A little correction: KB (dark hair, drops his jacket in the end) wrote the lyrics for suit dance, but Nine was involved mostly in the production. The two of them are the most involved in songwriting/production among the members, although every member has participated.
