- I originally thought the IU would have been shading the industry because she is quite the savage type (which I love) but I'm honestly glad she went for the softer and more precious route! I really needed to hear those words The song is quite upbeat but because the lyrics are so touching I feel like it created a really great balance, and her voice is so smooth and perfect I swear. I loved how the lyrics had a more poetic approach to it, the star illustration is so beautiful in my opinion. Plus the dancing is really so freaking cute!
Also I can't help but see her character from Hotel del Luna in this !!!

4:58 yes you're right, she's saying like even though the star written with your left hand is not that beautiful as your star written by your right hand, it's still a star and she find that star written with the left hand a unique one and that she wanted to tell us that we are a celebrity of our own. I just love her choice of words on her songs that always makes sense. A true Artist, THE BEST LYRICIST.

"you're a star drawn with a left hand" could mean a lot really. only 11% of the world makes up left handed people and in some cultures they say that if you're left handed then you're smart, creative and talented which simply means you're special. so the lyrics might mean that you were made by a talented hand which makes you very special

As someone who is left-handed, I interpreted that line with more emphasis on the idea that such a star is more unique, rather than it still being a star despite being drawn with a left hand. I guess that comes from the pride I've always had in being left-handed because it makes me unique. But either interpretation is good and neither one of them is wrong obviously. Her lyrics always have that little bit of room left open for each person's different interpretation and that's awesome in itself.
