Here's the *build video* for this one: ruclips.net/video/BDPxyPLkoKg/видео.html In sentry mode the *turret should be rotated* halfway to put tan on top instead of gray. Also only one *tiny silver Overwatch 1x1 tile* should be used, the other should be a tiny light gray unprinted 1x1 tile. Any thoughts about the 600+ piece set here? How it looks, its value? Likes/dislikes?
I got it a couple of weeks ago and I really love this set. But I'm still wondering, and this is my only dislike with this set, why they left out his magazine drum on the side of his gatling gun.
This is also a nitpick, but i think the elbows should be completely folded in sentry mode going by the box art, to be more compact, although its not exactly how its folded in game.
It's actually kind of fitting that the light doesn't stay on because in universe Bastion's sensor only lights up red when he goes into combat mode. A shame it doesn't light up blue though, that;s his default peaceful or passive mode.
@@liamn.3347 Oh boy. The light brick is BRIGHT. Even glancing at the light it creates on the ground hurts my eyes after a few seconds. And before you ask, I'm not crazy enough to stare directly into the light brick...light. I don't wanna go blind.

I'm not the biggest Overwatch fan (stopped playing over a year ago) and Bastion wasn't my favourite character by any stretch of the imagination, but this is the first Lego set I have bought since 2004. He just looks fantastic on the shelf and is quite fun to mess around with. You can get him into a walking and even a running pose, it's all about balance. Mine is in a running pose right now actually.
Great review jang! Just wanted to point out that the overwatch medallion peice is only ment to go on one side of the gatling gun, and a regular Light bluish gray tile on the other. That's why you had so many extra gray ones and no extra medallion peice. (Check the instructions)
Nice catch. Thanks for the note and thank you for the kindness of acknowledging that there's a video here and not solely a 1x1 silver tile mistaken for a gray one.
@@JANGBRiCKS no problem! Some people just don't understand that you put so much time into these videos and you're bound to make mistakes sometimes. After all, we're only human.
I'm of two minds on this set. The WoW player in me is jealous. Overwatch gets a premium Lego treatment while Warcraft got the bulky Mega blocks sets clogging up garage sales across the country. The Lego fan in me appreciates the design work, but this seems like the one time Technic and Bionicle G2 pieces would have been ideal. It would have dropped the piece count and give it a more robotic look. It's not a bad set by any stretch. Lego has really put what it's learned from Nexo Knights, Mixels and Exo-Force to get what it wants out bricks.
It's a shame his tank mode couldn't be done, though really the tracks for it are only visible on one or two of his skins and it was probably not possible to get them in on here. I imagine another builder might figure something out.
Yeah, his tank mode is pretty much impossible to transform into even with his classic skin. It's one of the few times where the typical Blizzard polish doesn't come through.
The animators were really proud to make bastion be able to perfectly transfigure into a turret, but then the developers changed his ult from a drone like mine to turning into a tank. They basically just said screw it after that.
I appreciate that you did your research for this video, and I really appreciate the fact that LEGO built Bastion with one of his transformations. I'm honestly surprised that they could get that in.
I've never even so much watched a single video on this game and never care to but I love this set; good posability for a lego mech and can transform with the only partsforming being the head.
So I build this and it’s my favorite by far. For what it is, it’s a great representation of Bastion. The only thing that I think somehow got overlooked was the turrets side area, which I made a quite satisfactory build to finish it off and it looks great. You mentioned play features including a six stud shooter part for the turret. I actually tried out and even hooked up to a motor to spin it fast like the turret but I didn’t really like its range and spread of fire. It does have limited mobility but that particularly due to it’s transformation. All in all, it’s a great set and really captures Bastion in brick form!
I see this A LOT with this Bastion set... While in Configuration: Sentry, the Barrel of Bastions Mini Gun is meant to be twisted 180 degrees, so the curved part is facing up
This is absolutely perfect. I’m so happy that LEGO decided to scale this up to get all the detail and that sentry mode option. Thanks to LEGO for NOT nerfing Bastion!
Whoa, wait... Are those Overwatch medallions printed? i thought they were stickers, but in the preview of your build video they aren't on the sticker sheet!
I think it's ironic that the non-exlusive version is essentially better anyway lol. Though the exclusive one is closer to being in proper scale to a minifigure.
11:10 I feel like LEGO has been putting less extras in each set, starting about winter 2018. I’ve mostly been getting Ninjago sets, and I’ve been noting that there’s generally less extra parts than there were in sets previous.
Agreed. It's not consistent, but in some sets, some bags have left no spares at all, or less than half as many as normal, starting like you say, late last year.
JANGBRiCKS there tends to be “usual culprit” extra parts like katana but even very small pieces can’t be guaranteed to have extras. Awesome to have you reply.
Wierdly, other sets have had the opposite happen. My sister got the Whomping Willow and Great Hall and both had a lot of extra random small pieces. Some pieces used weren't even visible in the build itself by the time it was complete.
Just bought the handsome boy yesterday and I am SO HAPPY! Havent bought or built a set in ages but I found that I definitely didnt lose my building skills XD. I really like it and like the stickers, not too much imo I also put the orangish yellow wedge that was extra on ganymedes head. Thought that fit a little better than just the stud on top.

The set is huge which scares me. I do like how it can transform and it seems like it would work well with some posing for stop motion (if you can fit it in a scene that is). I'm kind of surprised by the size, but I think it's still a good set.
The toy looks great, but the only gripe I really have with it is how simple and small its right hand is, feels kinda lazily done compared to the rest of the body.
Its an unbelievably good price to part ratio. Walmart in the US has him for $40 I don't know how they were able to get these overwatch sets out so cheaply.
