- 3 Essential Things to Know BEFORE travelling to South Korea
Part 1 of some of things you need to know before going to Korea as tourist! Save this if you are planning your trip and share this anyone who is going soon, especially if this is your first time🇰🇷

1. Check whether you need visa to enter Korea and fill in the Q-Code 🛄
2. Get a SIM Card 📲
We normally get a SIM card with internet data rather than pocket wifi (just more convenient). One thing I learnt that there are two types: data only or with Korean mobile local number. If you are planning to take taxi like Kakao Taxi and reserve some places then get the SIM card with the actual local number. If you’ll be travelling mostly on public transport, take taxi on the streets and don’t need any reservations etc then mobile data SIM card is enough
3. Download Naver Map 🗺️ because Google Map doesn’t really work in South Korea! Also everyone uses Kakao in Korea like Kakao Taxi which is your equivalent of Uber but you need a local Korean mobile number🚖

Thank you me and best friend are thinking of traveling to Korea next year so I’m so nervous and don’t know what to get.
There’s some really good food in Daegu if you’re interested; I believe it’s about 4 or 5 hours from Seoul. I also know there’s a few places online with some recommendations for things to do in Korea, since there’s a lot. I hope you have fun in Korea with your friend!
Beautiful place😊😊😊
Depending on your passport, you might not need a K-ETA anymore! This applies to the USA.

Most Koreans speak English! It’s not native-level, but a vast majority are of conversational level, so short conversations or asking for things like directions should be okay :)

If you have been to China or Japan, then Korean people generally speaks much better English than the other 2 country.

Do you always have to have a VISA or change you SIM card when you visit South Korea?
You have to check if your country is required a visa. If so then yes, you need a visa every time. You don't necessarily need a new sim, but I highly recommend it.
