Ooh! Great start to the day! Early Saturday morning sipping strong coffee, ☕ watching squiddies, brittles, yetis and other such oddballs.. and 13:30 *THAT* lil beauty staring out of the big screen!
Robert's Theme was soooo perfect for the amazing sunfish clip..
💚🐙 🎶👏 *Thank you, DSO*
_What else lurks in glass jars?_
Thanks so much for watching, dearest Pimpozza ^_^ 💚
a closeup of a dumbo octopus with soulful piano music isn't something i knew i needed today
fishposting at this hour? in this economy?
My mom's gonna worry when I don't make it home tonight
at this time of day? Localised entirely within your kitchen?
Not me watching this when I have to work a 16 hour shift in 2 hours with no sleep
He swift like Marlin, tuna and a half overtime wages.
At this time of year, localized in you kitchen
Who ever caught that Mola-Mola (Ocean Sunfish) on film, just did some very good science. Most see's this large fish floating at the surface letting birds eat parasites soaking up the Sun, This is the reason why, they have a daily routine of going Deep eating different pelagic Jellies, they get very cold and on return then loiters at the surface to warm. I wonder how many people has footage of deep diving Mola's, not many I bet.
To me it actually looks kinda weird in an almost alien sense. I’ve never seen them in the deep sea before and that, coupled with their odd looking bodies, makes them look almost bizarre
@@Beepers559 What's more bizarre is their anatomy & that they are a very recent evolution, brand new in a geologic sense.
@@Titus-as-the-Roman didn’t realize they were brand new in terms of evolution
Watched this w my 4 year old nephew n he though it was aliens. He's off to a good start
Same thing 😂
It would be nice to see what deep sea beauties lives in the Great Blue Hole in Belize, the Dragon Hole in the South China Sea, the Arctic and Antarctic Oceans just to name a few 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
the mola molas my fav fish tbh, also i want a plush of that small dumbo octopus
starting with the loveliest of them all!!! bathynomus giganteus my beloved
Brr! They give me the creeps. Like gigantic troglodytes. I wouldn't be surprised if they were an extant version of them. {{{Shudder}}}
Nature is quite fascinating with such diversity of bioluminescent, iridiscent, strange and wonderful créatures, living in this tough environnement.
That isopod is one big pill bug!---That squid ball can't all be juveniles, can they?---!!!When that tunicate dropped into view, my reaction to think someone dropped a jar overboard!
the Mola Mola moving it’s eyes is insane. almost human-like which makes it so eerie… but nonetheless a beautiful creature!
Amazing video of these deep sea beauties. The giant isopod the way how it was swimming looked like its legs were conducting a choir 🤣🤣🤣and it's prey was catching a ride. The swimming tunicate was a means of transport for its fellowmen🤣🤣🤣i have never seen a school of baby squids and the spaghetti brittle stars chilling out on the coral. The sunfish is cute looks like it has a frill. These deep sea beauties are worth watching. Love your videos 💯💯💯🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹its nice to see these beauties thrive in their habitat without human interference 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
13:00 this little octopus looks like a lost rubber mask😄
Sunfish footage was fantastic!
Even the sea creatures are weird in Florida.
😂🥰
Beautiful footage of a feeding Giant Isopod!! Never seen its feeding habits.
Sunfish may be a huge and heavy fish. But I think they look goofy.
Best show ever.
I love the sea cucumber, I'm fascinated by them. But what i love more, my absolute favourites are siphonophores - sorry if misspelt. I would LOVE a siphonophore special, they are just the absolutely coolest, most beautifully weird creatures ever.
I agree! 👍Siphonophores are soooo fascinating.. such complex creatures..
100% agree
Great video! I loved the sunfish looking around with a great big eye! Squat lobsters look so odd to me, like half is missing...the second mystery small fish had an interesting eye. Pretty colors. Thank you for posting another good one!🎉
Could the music be anymore sinister though? Lol hi from the UK 🇬🇧
Hi back from New England, USA🦑 I'm actually the son of a British immigrant :) Cheers! 🇬🇧
Congratulations, you've unlocked a new fear.
At the same time, it's incredible.
You The Best in RUclips ❤
And like the moon every Saturday night ❤❤
Huh...didn't know Mola Mola can move their eyes. Most fish have stationary eyes.
man that mola mola look so scary at that depth
I had no clue Mola Mola went so deep, I figured they were mostly Sunlight Zone Pelagic-
Robert's Theme...saving the best for last...
"What else lurks within the depths?" Me!
Nice icon image 😊 👍
I. Love. Sunfish!
How a blob of gelatin could look so gosh darn cute as a Dumbo is criminal.
Please don't change up the score! Please please it's my favorite to fall asleep to... The piano kinda threw of the ethereal vibes I keep coming back to this channel for ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for another fantastic video!
Molas with chimeras are my favourites!! sooo amazing in deed!! that shadowy shark is really scary!! that yellow thing is alive, the jar is opened and something moves inside!!!
Omg please do a YT short of the poor little Dumbo octopus tumbleweeding in the current 🤣🤣
#5 the colorful fish look to be a North Atlantic Slope Dragonet and a Greeneye in that order. Lovely little fish! #2 the squat lobster looks like a bouncer who has to check his sponge for your name to see if you are allowed past him. "ROV? Yeah, you're on the sponge. I'm going on break." #1 I never saw a video of mola mola actually in the deep. Still so chill!
Seeing the mola mola was like looking at a beautiful pasture of horses.... and then Secretariat walks in. Wow.
Three things I can never see enough of: magnapinna, mola mola, gulper eel
Wow!
That isopod is the first one and I can't believe how clear it is, that you captured it mid-meal, aaaand it swM around for you too...
I am so ecstatic and still on number 1 HAHA
Thanks for posting 😊
Liked and Subbed
Thanks again 😊
quick question: what species of squid was the ones in the Squid squads? (aka when there was tons of squids)
Didn't know fish could have lazy eye.😅
Looks just like a wood louse or pill bug that resides on land.
What was the Isopod eating?
Is it just me who thinks of flying bison from Avatar when they see an isopod swimming? "Yip-yip!"
4:17 this pill bug got his environments mixed up.
Dumbo octopuses are so cute
The last clip was actually an octopus mimicking a glass jar with a yellow object inside.
Floridian here hoping any of these will be near my coast 👀
Edit: no :(
Another fine abyssal banquet held for us lousy land lubbers.
Gotta love sunfish, one of the biggest and weirdest fish in the world
Hey i have a question do you take recommendations and 2 didnt the top 10s do bad on the poll a couple month's back so why are there so many now? Just asking cause i found it strange
Hey there! Yes, recommend away at any time, I find viewer suggestions quite useful.
Re: the poll and countdowns-- yes, what you say is true-- countdowns have long been the most common type of video I upload and they were very much the loser of that recent poll. I plan on doing at least one scripted, narrated video in June to change things up, and I should finally wade into freshwater topics.
The clear winner of that poll were unknown creatures & oceanic mysteries, and I did make a top 3 unknown sea creatures (with footage of each) video after people voted. It's just a difficult topic to cover properly on a regular basis because there are only so many unknown creatures that have been filmed but not identified. That said, some broader "oceanic mysteries" like the USS Stein incident I previously covered are in order, and those historical topics lend themselves well to narrated videos.
Hope this answers your question! Thanks for asking and for being here🦑

The music at 16:25 is awesome!! What's the name of it?
Oh shit. Im from Florida. Maybe this is the one. Im finnaly going to be famous.
Florida Man
The current I see most of these creatures dealing with, is it the Gulf Stream as it passes between Florida and Cuba?
30:57 Uh oh, they found the jar...
Love the music!
Me, too!🎉
Idk why but I feel like Mola-Mola is the embodiment of a biblically accurate angel.
0:41 bruh why are they crickets in the water
The isopod was distributed while trying to consume its nutrient find with a dead fish. But was eventually disturbed by the ROV lights which when trying to flee from ROV, dropped its meal not knowing when it will come across something else that is dead that it could consume a rare nutrient rich find.
In other words, the ROV was harassing the fleeing isopod. But this in the name of science. Not so good going ROV crew.
I CALL NUMBER 10 THE SEA LOUSE.
Wish I was a spaghetti brittle star
LFGGGGGG
People in Asia eat those giant isopods, that is so gross because they eat dead things, cockroaches of the ocean
What in the world?
imagine giving ocean explorers the funds we waste on nasa. 25 billions of taxpayers money every sigle year btw.
I do NOT like those isopod/potato bug things. They are creepy. Alien lookin things.
I love watching arthropod mouthparts doing their thing. The one piece mandible of the human is boring even by vertebrate standards.
Isopods are scary enough to look at. The fact that some attach to the tongues of fish, eating the tongue until it replaces the tongue, is truly terrifying.
