For one, they're a rock metal girl group, which means they have rock songs, something that the Korean public will have a hard time digesting. Also, BTS won awards fairly quickly and then slowly but surely made their way to the top. Dreamcatcher hasn't even won a single award yet.

This is a great point. I like the Korean version better because I am more used to it, but the Japanese version is good too and I just like hearing them sing/ rap in japanese. I think they will do great with an original Japanese song when they get around to making one.
Yes it because they are used to it. If they released it first in japanese and then korean it would also sound strange the first time! I had that with 2pm im your man. I first got to know the japanese version and later the korean one. And the korean one sounded so weird to me. People should really understand it's a lot more time consuming and harder to produce rock as real instruments are used and usually have to record the entire parts, there is also things like dynamics involved (loud and quiet differences to balance with instruments). EDM is mostly produced in blocks and reused throughout songs and synths and vsts are so much easier to control. Respect the band behind these awesome ladies also :)

I don't know how good their japanese is, but from an outsider perspective this is a really good remake - they're all confident in their notes and enunciation, they remain in tune, the video is similar enough that the mood is retained but different enough that there isn't a noticable lipsyncing issue... I'm really quite impressed - I wonder what the japanese market will make of it.

ドゥケは既存のアイドルファンだけでなく音楽を趣味として楽しんでいる人から支持されている所が強みだと思う。
日本で人気のあるロックというジャンルだからこそ、上手くいけば他のグループとは違うブレイクの仕方をするんじゃないかとすごい楽しみ。
韓国でも元々アニソンに似てる(日本のアニメはバンドの曲を主題歌として使うことが多いのかな？)という印象も強いらしいから、それこそ日本のアニメでドゥケの曲が採用されたらファンの幅がさらに広がるんじゃないかなぁ。
私を含め韓国のアイドルを応援している人からすると、過度に日本市場に合わせることで好きだったコンセプトが崩れる気がして日本活動に複雑な感情を抱いてしまうこともあると思うけど、Kpopしか殆ど聞いてこなかった私には知る機会のなかった日本の音楽の魅力に触れられると嬉しい。

水須賀 Apinkがリルリルフェアリルの主題歌だったことや、FTIslandがトリコ、2pmが青エク、boyfriendがコナン、東方神起がONE PICE、チャン・グンソクがフェアリーテイル、BOAはフェアリーテイル、テイルズ、犬夜叉などのタイアップがあること、外国人だからといって0ではないのかなと思います。
日本でのレーベルもポニーキャニオンで大手なのでその点でも可能性はあるかなという気がします。ただ上記のアイドルに比べ韓国の所属事務所がちょっと小さいかなということと日本オリジナル楽曲がまだないことから今後の売り方(韓国活動メイン→韓国発売曲を日本語verにという売り方なのか、集中的に日本活動をし日本オリジナル曲を出すのか等)で変わってくると思います。
メンバーたちも望んでるし、いつか実現して欲しいな😢

@@andredrw289 Oh it was just a small idea that Yoohyeon was having a nightmare of the restaurant(?), and Gahyeon and JiU had entered the nightmare to attempt to stop SuA, Handong and Dami, who were causing the nightmare. Gahyeon and JiU failed in stopping the girls, and Yoohyeon wakes as her dark(?) self where she is changed and her room is changed into perhaps an alternate reality. Not sure on that bit haha. Also not completely sure where the book, flower, burning tiara and Siyeon fit in though. I mean, this is probably a bad theory, so don't take my word on it!

Best choreo awards (esp. girl groups) aren't mainly based on difficulty either, but more on public appeal and easy-to-follow moves.

I don't know how good their japanese is, but from an outsider perspective this is a really good remake - they're all confident in their notes and enunciation, they remain in tune, the video is similar enough that the mood is retained but different enough that there isn't a noticable lipsyncing issue...
I'm really quite impressed - I wonder what the japanese market will make of it.
Their Japanese is pretty good. SuA did express her difficulties though, but she pulled it off pretty well.
