This "foods from around the world" program is such a good idea for us foodies...especially we that enjoy new cultural experiences. And cheap too. Instead of buying two chocolate bars in a month, one can get this. Thanks for bringing it to my and all of our attention.
Clariselol Depends on what they get in the future - the Italian package was obviously fine food. Some of the other suggestions in the comments could raise that question. But honestly I doubt the company will ship anything too exotic for the average customer. Looking forward to seeing TB's reaction to other fine stuff.
I'll preface this by saying that I've been a big fan of TB and his commentating, as well various podcasts for several years. I also have nothing but prayer and well wishes for him in his fight against cancer, and I hope he never has a recurrence. He and Genna are also one of the cutest couples I've ever seen together. Period. With that said, I don't get how Genna lives with him. If I were this picky about even half the things TB is, my significant other would've left me years ago.
I think you got the definition of remission wrong. "A remission is a temporary end to the medical signs and symptoms of an incurable disease." Remission = good thing.
A buddy of mine is way more picky than this with food, and he's very happily married with his wife. They have other ways of making up for the food annoyance, like having similar hobbies and tastes and that kind of thing. Also they're ridiculously good at working off of each other. Everyone has flaws, just gotta work with em and stuff.
Genna Bain I don't believe you do Genna, TB does with all these wonderful torture videos. Keep them up, one day, we shall break him and the only content he will do is VN... And he will say "I never knew! The gameplay mechanics of *insert hentai game here* are superb!" The ultimate goal.
During a Game Station podcast, when TB brought on a Kit Kat sampler from Japan, didn't Jesse suggest that TB do a whole series of videos where he's just nibbling on little candies from around the world? Check out frickin' Nostradamus over here. If you listen quietly, you hear the faint sound of "you're welcome, Internet".
Not liking coffee isn't too rare, same goes for cherry. Not liking nuts is something I haven't really heard too often. I personally like all of the above, other than cherry, or cherry flavored. Cherry itself is ok.
As much as TB may hate this kind of non-content, I thoroughly enjoy it. His disgust is amusing to me, and when he enjoys something it's magical. More non-content!
What a joy it must be to be married to this man, he's so open to new experiences and practically spreads joy anywhere he goes. You are one lucky woman Genna.
I literally watch your channel for the dogs and what you force tb to do, games or food or whatever. You two are amazing people, thank you for sharing parts of your life with us annons on the web.
Let's be honest, with names like TotalBiscuit and TotalHalibut TB was destined for food reviews. He's just been fighting fate with Video Game content. For stuff like that you need a cool hip name like Bain.
If i told my 12 year old self that in 8 years you will watch the host of Blueplz complaining about candy in a bathrobe... I really dont know how I would react.
I didn't know this box existed until this video, so please more! I love finding out about cool things, and seeing TB be grumpy about it just makes the experience that much more entertaining.
I always have a nice laugh when english / americans try to pronounce italian words xD mangini = man gee nee baci = ba chee orogainduia = more likely to be orogianduia = oro jan doo ya pizzelle = piz zel lay bruschettini = bruskettini in general, italian letters are always read in the same way. Same letter, same sound
Evan. Well, only when the 'c' is followed by 'i' or 'e'. Even though italian has a LOT of exceptions like these, I think pronounciation is generally much easier than english. Italian grammar, on the other hand, is a whole different story lol
MANGYNI, BACKEO Ahahahah! I'm from Italy too and I've been following you guys since like 2010 or something! It's super cool to see you enjoying our stuff while also messing up the pronunciation :D And since it appears that you won't get a fly to get here...Well I hope to meet you guys in America one day! :D
***** It would be sad, if you were forbidden to criticise a critic. Also, TB often makes the impression of disliking pretty much everything, especially when making such videos with his wife. Still, he keeps making them, so I guess it's just his nature.
These videos are great to watch and listen to while I'm doing other things at my desk that only require intermittent attention at best. Makes waiting for backup files to upload and download so much more pleasant.
As an italian, watching TB dislike and mispronounce some of our best sweets is both painful and entertaining xD Also, you missed the romantic phrase in the Bacio (which means kiss) Keep it up! Ciao!!
Thanks Genna, My mother LOVES to snack and she really loves interesting variety so a surprise box subscription of treats from places in the world i think will be a perfect mother's day gift.
That box was severely lacking in italian crisps, kinder&Ferrero stuff and bisquits. That absolutely isn't the best the italian snack industry can offer. Also bacio means kiss and is a candy mostly used in a romantic context.
Yeah it's mostly very commercial stuff, not typical, apart from amaretto's and bruschetti. It also helps not to eat random stuff one after another, that's why he has a horrible after taste. I mean lemon after chocolate ewwww, no wonder...
You know what TB? I looove videos like this, just you, eating stuff. Or doing nothing. Doesn't matter. There's a certain charm in day-to-day life, in mundane, but peaceful, yet playful moments like this. It's nice seeing you "being silly", messing around; seeing you in less stressful situations, I don't know... it's soothing, I guess? I'm just glad you are, apparently, doing all right and eating (sometimes) delicious treats. Take care :)
TB is right, we hate it... now we have to wait an entire month for the next box and then an entire month for the one after that... all this waiting is gonna drive us insane--er.
I've learned in this video that Genna likes nuts, and TB can't read Italian very well. All in all a very entertaining learning experience. I also have the urge to buy a new robe for some reason.
This is a wonderful demonstration of how oddly perverse "celebrity" can be. I just watched some dude who is not my friend or relative, whom I will almost undoubtedly never meet; sample treats from another country. The reason is as obvious as it is shameful. Do we honestly have nothing better to do with our lives.
Meh, people like youtube videos of cats because they are entertaining and usually funny. TB and Genna are entertaining by nature and these videos are actually kinda funny too.
I enjoy these videos because of Mrs Bain's impish giggling and the tormenting of Mr Bain. Most enjoyable. Please do make more of these videos Mrs Bain. :)
These videos are enjoyable on a number of levels. It's delightful to see a bit of chemistry between the both of you and the contrasting tastes. Much like with the Videos on TB's channel the critical examination of items and the clear and descriptive way in which he speaks makes for a somewhat less serious commentary with highly entertaining banter. In fact I have gone back and watched most if not all of the other videos in this style including the one at the shooting range in Vegas I believe it was, I'm not even that into gun....things. Then again, I'm a Social-Sci major, so I'm a bit weird from the word go, looking forward to more regardless :)
That's it, exactly.. It's the chemistry and interaction between them that makes these videos addictive.. I've been watching this channel since they did the Sims 4 together.
Had to answer, considering I'm from italy! First thing first, good luck to you both, and I look forward for TB to get better as soon as possible! As for the snacks...if you want to taste Italy better, you should go mostly for salty/freshly cooked food, those are the best (various kinds of pasta, meat, bolognese, stuff like that). About italian, sweet and mailable stuff: Ferrero's sweets (Brioche, fiesta, delice, etc.), Nutella is from italy too (yay!) and try pandoro or panettone, italian as well. And with no nuts! (Well, nutella is made with a sort of nut, but it doesn't have the crunchy nuts.) For the bruschettine, try them with diced tomato on it. It's gonna change them not completely, but almost. Then there's the fresh desserts but yes...those might be quite complicated to get there.
As an Italian living in Norway that box made me homesick! Also, I think the "after-taste" TB was talking about on the Gianduiotto (the second bite by Pernigotti) is probably due to the fact the recipe for gianduija chocolate includes hazelnuts and is way sweeter than normal chocolate.
There should be a sitcom called _The Bains_.
The Bains of My Existence: The Bain Family trying to relate in a society dysfunctional to their way of life
buttputt ♫Too many Bains, too many Bains, too many bains TOOOOO MANY BAINS♫

Genna-"wanna play borderlands"
John "that game is shit"
*credits roll and the speed of light to rules of nature*
Still a better love story than Twilight.
Genna-"wanna play a game?"
John "that game is shit"
Genna "it has an FOV slider..."
John "you have peaked my interest"
I cannot wait until Japan sends a fish-flavored, nut-filled cherry chew.
with a sprinkle of onion

wasabi flavored kitkat
Why not just have the Japan box filled with Natto...
This "foods from around the world" program is such a good idea for us foodies...especially we that enjoy new cultural experiences. And cheap too. Instead of buying two chocolate bars in a month, one can get this.
Thanks for bringing it to my and all of our attention.
Great vid with great man clevage.
the cleavage just grew and grew
No video is complete without TB's man cleavage.
Things have been much better since TB stopped giving a fuck.
Clearly fan service.
Clearly
You should have a TB eats series called "WTF is... (What the food is)"
WTFI.. or something like it :P
"WTF did I just eat, ...?"
How about "xxx - ITF?" (xxx - Is this food?)
Walter Teply-Schnabl that is a terrible idea
Clariselol

I love TB torture videos.
Don't we all?
***** what would that be... making him play fp puzzle platformers for 10 hours with fov at 60 and at 28 fps?
Colt Gustafson And no options menu
***** "Begin the nut procedure"
Oooh, kinky

Remission = good thing.
Whoops, I did indeed. My mistake. Fixed the original post.
I've been informed I have the patience of a saint... I guess I must?

co optional with unitlost ep 38 i think
***** He is the Space Butterfly after all!
Jesse as Nostradamus, maybe. But the true Prophet can only be the manly, magnificent and magnanimous Jim Sterling.
"Why are you watching this?"
DON'T JUDGE ME, TB!
Man, rewatching these videos now kinda hurts. Rest in peace TB, and thank you for everything.
He doesn't like coffee. He doesn't like nuts. He doesn't like cherry. DOES THE MAN LIKE ANYTHING THAT IS FREAKING TASTY?!
Not liking coffee isn't too rare, same goes for cherry. Not liking nuts is something I haven't really heard too often.
I personally like all of the above, other than cherry, or cherry flavored. Cherry itself is ok.
***** But he doesn't like all three....AT ONCE!
he also doesn't like onions iirc ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Cherry is worst fruit flavor
and marzipan...marzipan is great!...though, that doesn't surprise me too much, quite a lot of people don't like it
As much as TB may hate this kind of non-content, I thoroughly enjoy it.
His disgust is amusing to me, and when he enjoys something it's magical.
More non-content!
I would watch a show starring just you guys, provided you call it, "Bain in the Neck."
I'm watching this at 3:30 in the morning. No regrets.
I like seeing TB doing anything he doesn't want to do. Its like watching Grumpy cat in human form.
"Why are you watching this?" ....If only you knew.... T.T
Same reason as before tho. Because we love TB.
What could be better than TotalBiscuit eating Biscuits!
I watched for 13 minutes as that robe slowly came open
Oh god yes! Can someone make a timelapse?
What a joy it must be to be married to this man, he's so open to new experiences and practically spreads joy anywhere he goes. You are one lucky woman Genna.
3:30 For a second I thought "God, even I can smell it!"
Then I realized I was making coffee ... 😒
The sheer amount of enthusiasm oozing from TB here is so profound, it's almost palpable.
>should study math
>open youtube
>see this video
>proceed to watch TB eat snacks for almost 15 minutes
>nice!
Never watch those videos now it's I joy to see him hear him love that guy for ever
I'm going to miss this man and this out of character content with you, Genna
"It's like a punch in the face with rosemary." We love you TB, never change.
I literally watch your channel for the dogs and what you force tb to do, games or food or whatever. You two are amazing people, thank you for sharing parts of your life with us annons on the web.
50 Shades of Biscuit, a name for this food series.
Love that the video started with Genna unable to not laugh.
PS I think genna deserves more credit not only for making TB do things he wouldn't normally do, but also to film it and put it online. BLESS
I love how Genna has a good laugh just by looking at TB. xD
Anything with TotalBiscuit in it is something I would watch.
Seriously, its hard NOT to love a guy such as him :)
So his beard is fine for camera this time? :D
?
rood
he clearly ceased to give fucks
Taisho sama For reference, he didn't want his face shown in the last unboxing.

lol, damn TB you don't like anything. So much good stuff and he just goes "no, that has -insert random deliciousness- in it"
"It's like someone punching you in the face with rosemary....but they're good" XD
Watching TB eat things is oddly therapeutic.
If i told my 12 year old self that in 8 years you will watch the host of Blueplz complaining about candy in a bathrobe... I really dont know how I would react.
Yes... good. Taste of my people TotalBiscuit.
TASTE OF THEM.
I didn't know this box existed until this video, so please more! I love finding out about cool things, and seeing TB be grumpy about it just makes the experience that much more entertaining.
Should have named the video "TotalBiscuit tastes Italian nuts"
Why am i watching this because it helps Genna make TB out of his comfort zone. Love this stuff
I hope this dont give TB another type of cancer.
SirJamesDTech It was a reference from a comment in the taste of america video. In any case, I don't really know how me saying this affects him.
Podrick Lives When speaking to one's intellectual superior, say Sir. Thank you and have a lovely day.
SirJamesDTech Dude, it is necessary that you like yourself with two accounts? I mean, really?
rofl
I'm guessing this sounds better in you head.
Ah yes, another upbeat, positive video featuring an extremely happy Mr Totalbiscuit who is definitely taking part on his own free will. Day is made!
4:32
Truly, a renaissance man if there ever was one :p
I want TB to question us more, with that death stare.
It warms my heart.
I always have a nice laugh when english / americans try to pronounce italian words xD
mangini = man gee nee
baci = ba chee
orogainduia = more likely to be orogianduia = oro jan doo ya
pizzelle = piz zel lay
bruschettini = bruskettini
in general, italian letters are always read in the same way. Same letter, same sound
yep xD
Apart from the invisible 'h' after every 'c'.
Not that I'm defending my mess of a language in any way.
Evan. Well, only when the 'c' is followed by 'i' or 'e'.
Even though italian has a LOT of exceptions like these, I think pronounciation is generally much easier than english.
Italian grammar, on the other hand, is a whole different story lol
As I said, in no way am I proclaiming any kind of objective superiority either way.
Thanks for the correction :)
Baci = Bachyo was hilarious
Woke up at 4 am (because of work), got me a coffee and a sandwich, watching this video prior to leaving the house. Totally worth it :D
MANGYNI, BACKEO Ahahahah! I'm from Italy too and I've been following you guys since like 2010 or something! It's super cool to see you enjoying our stuff while also messing up the pronunciation :D
And since it appears that you won't get a fly to get here...Well I hope to meet you guys in America one day! :D
Mi ha ricordato di Brad Pitt in Inglorious Bastards, da piegarsi in due xD
BACHI PRENUGNUGINIA, hahaha
Gnahahahahah
Ahahah oddio, GRAZZY ahah
Miglior pronuncia di sempre ahahahaah XD
Love the face he made from the aftertaste. Priceless
I believe that we watch this because we are fans of TB's other video work.
Seeing and hearing TB ranting about food could be my new highlight of the week. ^^
Huh... Now that I think about it, we DO use a lot of nuts. Never considered it much myself.. I guess I just got used to it
I love the banter. Is fantastic. More of these plz mrs.Genna, they are exceedingly entertaining!
"Unboxing."
"People who watch those kinds of videos are dumb."
;-;
These are the greatest videos ever. Showing TB's "soft side" XD or more like his "obeying side" and all of the snark to add to its value.
★★★★★
I love TB tonnes but it bugs me that he doesn't chew with his mouth closed. :S
***** It would be sad, if you were forbidden to criticise a critic. Also, TB often makes the impression of disliking pretty much everything, especially when making such videos with his wife. Still, he keeps making them, so I guess it's just his nature.
One does not eat mangini with a closed mouth.
That's because it's hard to eat and talk with your mouth closed.
TB is a games critique, not shining champion of manners.
mega17
He's british though. All brits are born shining champions of manners. That's a well known fact.
These videos are great to watch and listen to while I'm doing other things at my desk that only require intermittent attention at best. Makes waiting for backup files to upload and download so much more pleasant.
As an italian, watching TB dislike and mispronounce some of our best sweets is both painful and entertaining xD
Also, you missed the romantic phrase in the Bacio (which means kiss)
Keep it up! Ciao!!
i was hoping he'd notice the little sheet of paper :c
As someone from another country with sensible pronunciation, I agree. ._.
Vero,é orribile.
True,it is horrible
pure io, chissà che frase gli è capitata.
True, some random biscuits and waffers are not the best italian food xD
gilgameshvolante and not even total bisquits, just some..
Yeah it's mostly very commercial stuff, not typical, apart from amaretto's and bruschetti. It also helps not to eat random stuff one after another, that's why he has a horrible after taste. I mean lemon after chocolate ewwww, no wonder...
Kinder was developed and is produced in Germany even if it is part of the Ferrero company, so I wouldn't really count it as an "Italian" snack.
TheLadyOfG That's why I said Kinder&Ferrero: because there are many italian products under an italian unified brand.
The TB crunch as he eats some of the treats is great.
I watched this to hear biscuit talk about "eating nuts"
I watched this while the co-optional lounge break music was playing on stream, it changes the atmosphere in an amazingly entertaining way.
I've learned in this video that Genna likes nuts, and TB can't read Italian very well. All in all a very entertaining learning experience. I also have the urge to buy a new robe for some reason.
This is great! I don't know why, but it's great. TB just is naturally entertaining. Thanks
This is better than Succulent.
That first screen, DAMN EPIC, I barely contained myself from bursting into laughter!!! Excellent shot for a framed picture.
I thought a slippery eel was a moray...
watching TB being awkward and grumpy is worth every second of my life...MOAR
You should have a a show called Awkward Unboxing. With all THAT attitude.
My grandma sends us pizzelle every Christmas... highlight of my year.
This is a wonderful demonstration of how oddly perverse "celebrity" can be.
I just watched some dude who is not my friend or relative, whom I will almost undoubtedly never meet; sample treats from another country.

Got to admit, listenning to you guys trying to pronounce italian words was pretty hillarious :3.
it was hilarious xD
I am watching a grumpy british guy in a bathrobe eating italian snacks/candy. I think I finally lost control over my life. 10/10
Big Biscuit in Little Italy
Watching TB eat is one of the best videos I have seen on RUclips ever.
💙
Listening to TB trying to pronounce the italian words was unexpectedly hilarious for me. Plus, I really want to eat a Raffaello now.
I am surprised TotalBiscuit can taste anything but salt at all times..
When he is eating the coffee bon bon at the start and talking he sounds like Nigel Thornberry. Love it. lol
Worst Italian accents I've heard in a long time
agreed ahahahahahah
Genna and TB keep questioning why I'm watching this... and at nearly 5:30 in the morning, I'm questioning myself too! And yet, I just can't stop
Total clevage XD
TotalHorizontalCleavage, without FoV sliders apparently.
Lady Biscuit: "I know you don't like nuts...give it here! I like nuts!"
Oh my brain...
I don't watch it to see him eat, I watch it to see his reaction to whatever he eats.

Rocking that Star Fleet bathrobe in the wake of Leonard Nemoy's departure.
I like the subtle thing you guys are doing where TB's robe slowly falls more open as the video goes on.
Compelling.
Ferrero is a classic brand in the entirety of Europe, I'm surprised TB didn't recognize it immediately, considering that he's a brit.
Nothing better than watching grumpy TB non-content in the morning.
His face at the beginning: Genna, what have you dragged me into now?
As an Italian living in Norway that box made me homesick! Also, I think the "after-taste" TB was talking about on the Gianduiotto (the second bite by Pernigotti) is probably due to the fact the recipe for gianduija chocolate includes hazelnuts and is way sweeter than normal chocolate.
We(me and my SO) love this kind of video please feed him a box every month
Awww. I keep wanting to reach out and adjust his robe. It's a cute format. TotalGrumpcat tries different snackies and makes wrinkle-noses.
The Biscuit eating biscuits?! This is cannibalism!!!
I'm sold; that was hilarious. Do these as often as you want, Genna. xD
I'll admit, when I get a care package of sweets from my grandmother in Italy, we dig right past all those candies to get to the figs and sausage.
