    Doug things have come an amazingly long way from the days of watching a bushcrafter channel sprout instructional wood carving. Now we can take the advanced class just sitting and watching a master do his thing. Really Good Stuff!!!

    This is my favorite carving that I’ve seen you do so far! I love the expressive eyes and I love the sound of the blade on wood.
    Your blade is apparently a lot sharper than mine, I need to practice honing

    That cottonwood bark always amazes me at how well it cuts, I'm sure good sharpening helps too but the material is like butter.

    As I watch in amazement as you coax the March hare out of the bark,
    it reminds me of the medieval wood carvers in churches in Europe. You

    I’ve just started making my own knives and gouges love it, I need to get my hand on some cotton bark don’t think have it in the UK seen it before on eBay pretty pricey as well buy looks amazing and so easy to carve through 👍🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🇺🇸

      Copper plumbing cap screwed to a dowel lol just helps set the eyes

    Do you have a video how you take care and sharpen your tools?
    Im pretty much a newb. I only done stuff with these very small chisels you get from a hobby store. I bought some bigger used Swedish quality chisels but dont wanna fuck em up.
