Right off the bat I will say I don't like the noise. Art for me is a meditative experience. I like it quiet when I work so I can think. I would be very afraid for my fingers with this puppy. :)
Susan Hamilton some people dont like the noise, others don't mind; many videos seem to mask this and we think it is important to know for the buying decision. I have hit my finger 4-5 times and it felt more like a vibration, it was a bit startling, but never pricked my skin that I could tell, perhaps due to the shallow stroke of the needle. .. just fyi :)
That is great that it didn't pierce the skin because it looks pretty ferocious when it gets going. lol Thanks for your reply and the great information.

Ooh thanks for letting us hear the noise it’s horrendous and for me it is a peaceful craft and this video has confirmed for me that I’m happy not using a power tool for felting.

Looks really great for certain uses.... but what the heck this tool seems expensive for what it does (via amazon, it appears LivingFelt doesn't sell it anymore). Really disappointing to note the high cost.
Does someone knows a eletric hand felting machine please?
I am from Sweden and needlefelting in Sweden feels a lot that we still are in the stone age…….. so when I Google on electric felting tools nothing turns up. I have really bad Pain in my hands and holding a ordinary felting needle is so hurtful just after a minute…. So this was a ”hallelujah” moment when I saw this video. I wonder if you have any other tips for me? Kindest regards Catharina
Do you think I can use it on a shape with an armature? Or I risking breaking the needle?
High risk to break the needle. We no longer carry this due to reliability issues.

I don't think I would use it because it sounds really loud.

You can put on headphones to listen to some music, that easily solves the problem

No swiveling going on once it's together...the locknut would rub inside if it did, nosecone keeps it centered..
