This is a comparison and feature review of the Syncro 5 and Syncro 12 Biking Hydration Packs. This is video 1 of 2 covering the Syncro 5. Video 2 of 2 goes over the Syncro 12. This video is to give the viewers a visual of the bag and how it compares to the larger version of the Syncro 12. It may also be helpful in deciding over other hydration packs or bags. This bag is outfitted to be small, light, ventilated, durable, convenient, weight dispersing, and a hydration bag.

Thanks. I got this used/(like brand new), so I had no idea where the tubing routed through. The little inner pocket is subtle and was easily missed, but now it's routed properly thanks to your vid.

Thanks :) Ordered the Syncro 5. Too bad my phone probably won't fit that upper pocket, but the 12 liters wouldn't have helped with that either. Can't wait to test how much more comfortable this will be compared to my larger/heavier/sweatier Camelbak Agent. The only thing I will be missing from this bag is a small pocket I can access without taking the bag off; mainly just for keys.
Great video, would be nice to see the compartment stretched out from like a top down view to see approx how much space is inside. Very helpful though - just ordered.
We bought the Syncro 5 & 12 and the womens Sylva 5 & 12.
The only real noticeable difference between the 5 & 12 is the severely reduced capability/versatility of the 5's... the 5's are very cramped with a full bladder, especially with the rigid frame center crossbar pushing the bladder outward.
From what we could tell both sizes have the same size inner frame and feel the same on our backs.
There is a slight weight difference, but we couldn't feel it.
We bike and hike, we kept the 12's for its very useful extra compartment and overall flexibility.
Hi! great reviews! I wonder if you checked the red version of it. I wonder if red would reflex more at night or not at all. I will get the syncro 5, as I'm not tall :)

Good vid. Should have compared height and width/ depth of the two for comparison. Wore both to see profiles that would have stood out from other vids. 😁

What bag do you use for carrying a motorcycle helmet ?

I have Osprey 5 liters .. great breathing layer they have design! But i feel my balance on the bike is effected because of the weight of the water on my back. Especially on technical ride that require you to switch your balance right n left. I think something like Camelbak waist water pack 3 liters will be better on that respect. I wish Osprey will have something like that, or maybe design their waterpack to be placed on the lower part of their backpack so it will be closer to the ground or the user’s waist.
I wonder if you had compared the Syncro 12 with the MULE.

Can you fit a pair of shoes the in Syncro 12?
You could but they would need to be flexible to crush down. imo
