In my pov, they must have considered a lot about the chorus choreo so their vocals match and feel comfortable to sing, if they're pro-dancer I believe they will be insanely fire. There's pro-cons, but they're always iconic

Hard choreo is not always the best choreo and it's not a mandatory thing, the beat was pretty chill too not that strong that warranted a "harder" choreo... in a concert you can't have all songs with hard choreo or they'll tire quickly... choreo is usually balanced amongst songs some hard some chill... groups take "breaks" in between songs with lighter choreo tracks which allows them to last longer and minimize exhaustion...
I agree with Ace about the choreography and I watched the GMA performance of this and it was just okay to me. As for the song, Girls is their best title track imo. One more thing, appreciate you guys for always being honest about YOUR opinions and not overhyping everything like some other channels do.
Although next level is still my favorite title track from them, I agree with you
I loved everything about this one! Personally I liked the choreo and that it was “cutesy” rather than powerful. Just because the song is named Girls doesn’t mean it has to be powerful moves imo. Girls can be pretty and cute while still being strong and badass.
I agree about the chorus choreo, I think they were trying to have a point choreo that's tiktokesque? And it came out a bit dainty and weak-looking with the leg up.
You have to look at the performance on good morning america, the dance overall is not hitting. SM IS FOCUSING too much on camerawork and not on the actual choreo
Besides Black Mamba this is their best title track. I liked it.

In my opinion, this song and video is alot to take in, but in a good way. After a few listens, I think I'd enjoyed the mixture of the pop-rock-ish sound in this song. The vocals are always strong and pleasant to hear, again, in my opinion. I really like the chorus too. The chorography was very interesting, Aespa has a kind of cinematic way of moving and dancing, that you only see in big epic fight sequences in some science fiction movies. Their visuals are beautiful, always. And, for each new comeback, these Ladies are getting more stronger, and confident with their music and creativity. Well, good reaction, guys. You guys are never hesitant or fearful of telling us all your true, authentic opinions and thoughts about a song and video. I like that aspect and quality of you guys. I agree with you so much about the choreography! That point choreo with the fingers/crane kick looks good in CLOSE-UPS for the video, but I saw them perform this on Good Morning America, and it just looked soooo awkward and cringe.
That's happened with every choreo so far, mostly because it's made for the camera, but in person/performances they should adjust it, yeah.

I hate when content reactors fake or over react to concepts/groups. If you didn’t vibe with the content, it is what it is.

I feel like when it comes to Aespa, even if they release a legit banger in the future, it will NEVER satisfy these guys. From the last aespa releases they've been somewhat negative about them. I mean I love watching these dudes but this was such a solid song and MV in my opinion but they're still not feeling it. They notice the choreo but never once acknowledged the way above average vocals displayed here.
Honestly, I am the same way. Next Level and Savage grew on me but I wasn't blown away by this at all. It's not my type of music, too much going on and I truly hate how they always hit those insanely high notes with the others singing over it. It's too much noise. Lucid Dream is my favorite Aespa song. I don't see the guys as being too negative, they just don't vibe with the music so far and that's perfectly fine. It is a fact Aespa makes debatable music, it's not for everyone.

Not a fan (yet) but same thought, i still watch their reaction videos though. On twittr, its like a trend to say negative things about the girls and its really disappointing.

Im with you Ace, The song is awesome, but the Choreo doesnt have the memorable moments that Next Level or Black Mamba do. Savage had solid all round Choreo, stronger than this, but this just feels a bit straight forward. ALso Giselle gets nothing to do in the back half which is a shame.
Still a cool song though.
i think the second half of the choreo was quite good but the first half was lacking. However I totally understand from a performance perspective

I know everyone loves these girls music but I just really can’t get into it. They are super talented but it’s just not my thing I guess. I’m happy they’re getting a lot of recognition though. They deserve it.
some of y’all are so butthurt in these comments this is why is see so many K-pop reactors faking their reaction to please other cause some people can’t handle opinions.
For a bit of context on the choreo: the choreographer for much of this was Rie Hata, who has a very unique personal style. It's difficult for a real serious pro to pull off properly, and would definitely be for a group that isn't super dance heavy to begin with.
Personally the choreo isn't my style anyway, but if yall check out the demo choreography they put up on the... SM Station channel, maybe? performed by Hata and her crew it looks waaaay better; no hate to Aespa, I love 'em, but man does SM make some questionable choices with their choreographies. Karina has a lot of training but the others don't have nearly as much, why would they give this song a choreo that only the choreographers can pull off?

I thought this was a dope azz track there best! blackpink level..choreo was on point goes with the vibe of the song they gave you snoops crip walk that’s swaggy gangsta dope this is swagged out fire 🔥 aespa is not a copy cat group like a lot of other Kpop girl group they carving out there own style 👍🏼
the choreo reminds me of game characters especially the constant bouncing, if you watched a fancam it is a pretty intense choreo actually so many details and the song is long.. the only downside is the chorus part imo it doesnt look impressive on stage
I love this song but I feel like Illusion is the better song and with better coreo it should have been the title track. But Girls is their most tamest title track.

This song shows all their vocals so it's very hard to have those strong movements that much. This song fits their choreography I believe. I know we are still into Next level or Savage but this song is really bad ass for me.

Too much vocals in their songs to have them do intense choreo. I saw their live GMA performance and they be were breathing hard at end of song. So IMO this choreo is perfect balance for their vocals to go crazy hard. Less go Aespa!! Ning Ning
Well I loved the choreo...I thinks it's unique, very aespa but also fits the song. And choreos are meant to support the song, the song isn't made for choreo. Kpop choreos used to always be about uniqueness whereas nowadays it's more just about power. If you guys don't like it, it's probably just a preference thing if anything else lol Also this mv did not show the full choreo at all so tbh what judgement can you even make when y'all haven't even seen the whole dance lol

one 2nd listen (audio/ lyrics vid only) it was still ok. my not their best title track,(imo). didn't seem to deliver for me on how hype everyone was for it.
some pple say the choreo was minimal so they can sing but SM doesn't let them sing live, so not sure. Not to take away from the girls but this track wasn't it. compared to the other TT.
Lol I wish I could afford patreon eventually I will; but I hated the choreo so much. I enjoy the song took a few listens for me but it’s great. I just think the choreo was a miss.

I’ve just never been able to get into AESPA’s choreo side of the performance. It’s not all bad or anything, it just always feels very meh. Like they just woke up from a nap and decided to dance. I think their concept is interesting. It takes a couple listens/watches to catch it all and it is always pretty cool. But, in a performance context, they just aren’t there (for me).

I like the song and the story parts of the video were nice. The choreo was terrible. All that bouncing in place and the "pee pee" dance was just ridiculous. Not feeling it at all. These girls have done way better choreo and this song deserved something more intense than cutesy like Ace said. Just my 2 cents.

Their live performances are great though especially the vocals! U have to understand that their songs are full of high notes and its not good for their throat if they sing live for every performance.

so what would you rather see? a weak vocal performance because of tiring choreo or lipsyncing with really impressive and difficult choreo? i feel like i wanna see aespa try some more intense choreo in their titles (like itzy), and then promote a ballad as part of the album that they perform LIVE. that would be a dream.
I agree w Ace about the choreo. Their facial expressions in the video could’ve been more “badass” imo. For the song on its own, I like it, but I don’t enjoy Winter’s high note in the bridge- it’s too shrill(?) and pierces my ears, which sucks cuz this is the type of song you wanna have on high volume.
for me, this is their worst title track, BUT!! it’s still good. album wise, there are a lot of repeat tracks and the new songs beside “girls” are okay. not the strongest comeback, but the title track is nice! :)

At this point, to me, you guys just sound like haters. Reacting to aespa just to find things that you don't like about them, and call it as "being honest". If you don't like them, then just stop reacting to them, period. Cuz aespa is aespa! They're never gonna change their concept for you! They're never gonna change their music for YOU. And more importantly, the members aren't gonna change their personalities for YOU! They're not gonna try *to smile more* just to please you, cuz you don't like them having stoic expressions. It's called *personality!* And it suits their concept! And they're *not* gonna try to appear or act more "badass" cuz YOU are used to fake gg members who always try *too hard* to look "badass". They're being more true to themselves. They're not as *"fake"* as other gg. They don't need to act cuter and they don't need to act more like badass. Haven't you ever seen an action movie, and watched that the most lethal/the best heroes/villains are the ones who don't have expressions??? If you have watched a movie, then you'd understand that their more "stoic" expressions are cool, and it fits their "badass" concept. Personally I really don't like the concept of Aespa. I know there are other people who are really into it and the back story, but personally it feels awkward. It seems a shame at least right now to me. The girls are super talented and this is arguably their best song that is theirs alone(barring the S.E.S cover) but I still don't like it, and reading the lyrics makes me dislike it more... I've kinda given up on liking any of their songs though I would always be happy to be surprised
