I hope Moana 2 will have songs as good as the ones from the first movie (You’re Welcome, How Far I’ll Go, Shiny and Where You Are.) just as Frozen II did to the first Frozen movie.
What I will say is that I doubt the new characters were in the first movie. They definitely recycle characters, but there’s a difference between crowds characters and main/speaking characters. Crowds characters in animation are meant to blend in. If the new crew were speaking characters, they probably got their own designs and lots of attention so they don’t blend in as much. But you never know!!
