i love watching the difference between a freshmans dorm and then a sophomores dorm. you grasped the idea of how much you really need to have. in every freshmans video i've seen, they have so much stuff! i did the same thing my freshman year though lol.
Microwave and fridge oh my god we dont have any of these at my dorm . Watching your dorm tour and my dorm came to my mind and when I thought of my room is was like 🤦♀️

Lauren Johnson i know you weren’t really asking the viewers but i hope this helps!! 1- dorm rooms usually come with a bed, mattress, desk and chair, and in most of them (but not all) there’s also a nightstand and some under the bed storage drawers. 2- you can leave campus whenever you want usually, you probably shouldn’t skip class and leave haha but apart from that you can go out for lunch, dinner, breakfast... (in some colleges there’s a « curfew » and you have to be in your room before the curfew). 3- this question is based on experience, but i’ll say that obviously there are good and bad roommates, but most of the time everyone is just trying to have a good time and enjoy their year while still studying, so you shouldn’t worry too much about that, just remember that you guys are all in the same situation together and most people are nice and understanding (you can also choose your roommate in some colleges like PSU). 4- you can have snacks in your room, but that’s usually enough since most people don’t have a kitchen and the dining hall is open most of the time. 5- once again this depends on you but as long as you stay on top of your work and clean regularly you should be fine! good luck and if you have any questions you’re welcome to ask :))
