I quite like the unedited videos, even cleaning the table I don't mind watching, very therapeutic, you should do them all like this, if we want to skip anything we can ourselves 👍🏼 beautiful tree 🌳
You've got to be kidding me Sam. I've just spent the last couple of days making a nesting box for Spotted Pardalote myself. Last year a pair made a nest in the bank behind my bonsai's, but we had so much rain the nest got flooded out and washed away. So I decided to make a box from some Blue Gum firewood I have. Just did the last bit of painting today and am going to attach it to a post tomorrow. I hope they use it. Love your Peppercorn tree. When I lived on my parents sheep station in far western NSW there were massive ones growing around the school teachers residence and around various homesteads on properties that I Wool classed in younger days. Makes me a bit nostalgic. Cheers.
Lovely to see the peppercorn, even if it isn't looking it's best. I remember when you put it in that pot . . . I am sure you will find another tree better suited to it!
G'day Sam, I'm so happy to see your peppercorn tree again, this tree inspired me to acquire a few pepper corn trees and try my luck with them. Good job on the pot, whether you think it looks crap or not, it's something you made and something to be proud of mate. 👍👍👍
TAS pepper was all the rage not so long back so you’d think you would turn round and trip over a pepper tree , never seen one anywhere ,,, it’s been that warm down here my maples have started budding out 😮 , cool pot ! I’d be proud of myself if I had made something that good 👍
Aussie Dave here Sam, I have some large plastic bonsai pots. But I found some Japanese stencils which I sprayed painted. They ( I think) looks a lot better 😂
I have this tree. Bought it with the idea I would be able to create a mini weeping tree. Gradually I have learned that this won't happen as the weeping branches have to be > 1.00 meters long before they start to 'weep' ! Now I'll just follow you.
@@SamDoeckeAussiebonsaibloke Have seen a video where the tree is re-wired every year with classy copper wiring - with the wiring being part of the whole presentation !! Different but interesting...
THATS A NARLEY TREE BUD , I THINK YOU SHOULD SCRUB THAT MOSS OF THE TRUNK , STINKING BLOODY WIND ! IM GUESSING ITS A NOR WESTER WE GET LOTS OF IT HERE IN NORTH CANTERBURY NZ IT DRIVES ME NUTS AND BLOWS MY TREES OVER ALL THE TIME SO I HAVE TO PUT ROCKS IN THE POTS , LOOKIN FORWARD TO THE GRAND TOUR AND ALSO WHEN DO YOU THINK I SHOULD START FEEDING MY TREES AND WHAT WITH ? CHEERS .
Great work on this tree! Repotting will give this tree new life. Bonsai Master Sam is in the house with a superb tutorial.
Nioce one bloke!

Thanks mate and cheers for the feedback 👍 👌
I've done wild trim backs before ending up with a stump in the green bin 😂 its a slippery slope, Peppercorn are a tricky tree.
Love the pot, bird boxes & of course the bonsai :)
Sam I sure hope you show us that tree when it gets filled out again, that's a beauty!
You are on your way to making your own pots. Cool! Nice boxes for wildlife!

Crazy warm winter this year.
Nice one. That pot came out a treat! Keen to see how the tree responds to the cutback. My peppercorn is also temperamental
I'm keen to see also 🤞
@@SamDoeckeAussiebonsaibloke i cut mine back after i watched this video. Got some back budding action now
Nice looking pot bloke.
Crikey next you will be building your own kiln!!!
Would love to of course but where do the hobbies stop 🤣
That's a very good first attempt at making a bonsai pot!!! 🤗Good on ya!
Aussie Dave here Sam, I have some large plastic bonsai pots. But I found some Japanese stencils which I sprayed painted. They ( I think) looks a lot better 😂
Thanks for the tips!
Good video Sam your braver than me cutting it back that hard but in the long run it will benefit from it , they are bullet proof(almost) 😂
They just don't like being touched below the waist 😃
Looks great. Perfect pot.

Ha ha I too tried that in the early days and gave up 😄

Thanks for making this video👍
I have 3 pepper trees on training, when you crush the leaves it smells very good, kind of mango fragrance.
Beautiful
Nice pot you made, if it was my attempt I would be pretty proud. Your standards are much higher than mine. 🍺
Nice video like the natulistick style
Usable, it's beautiful!
Thanks Mary 😀

Yes. Make sure new Zealand zeolite
No sifting. Don't find too many fines 😃

How's going Sam, what r the soil mix inside the pot? love the way u repot. very simple
Woolworths kitty litter mixed with potting mix. Half half
Kitty litter is new Zealand zeolite
So did you catch the fever? I now enjoy making pots at least as much as I like growing trees.
Hey mate. Yeh I loved it but have soo many hobbies I'm trying to not take it up. Great fun 😁
@@SamDoeckeAussiebonsaibloke I know what you mean. I had to drop a less interesting hobby to make time for ceramics.
A beautiful tree Sam but you scare me when you start cutting🫣
So if you live in such a low rainfall area how do you gather so much moss ??
Gather in the winter then water it in the summer .
Hi Sam, do the peppercorn trees like to sit in water over summer?
N9t a crazy amount no. Keep them moist but not wet 😃
What is your soil mix?
Woolworths kitty litter and potting mix. Half half
It new Zealand zeolite kitty litter

Will that peppercorn reshoot this spring ?? And could I do similar to my melaleuca now which is late August here in Newcastle nsw. 👍🦘🇦🇺
It is late August in the rest of Australia too….😊
Yeh should resort in a couple of weeks. Yeh can do now to melaleuca. As long as not nesophila. They don't shoot back easy.
And what do you mean by getting bitt with not having a hole covered 👍🇦🇺🦘
What is your soil mix?
Half kitty litter (new Zealand zeolite
Half potting mix
