Hi, Im just starting my career as a Film/Video Editor. Im confused whether which software should i master ? Ive heard the Industry standard is Avid but nowdays people are starting to use FCP.
@@ruhaanchopra8878 I am gonna start off with Premiere Pro since FCP and Premiere Pro are kinda similar i can switch to FCP whenever i want without any hesitation. My only concern is that Everybody uses Avid in the Industry and it will be hard to switch to Avid later on since Avid is alot different and even harder in some ways than PP & FCP.

@@basedstag9760 the problem with fcp is lack of collaboration so u are better off using premiere pro which is what a lot of people are using

Smaller industries and smaller filmmakers always use consumer level editing software (Premier Pro, FCP etc)

I am using iMac 27" 32GB & MacBook Pro M1 the both machine cost around 5.5 Lakh... but seriously as an Editor the both machine make my life easy.
