The terrans benefit tremendously in terms of resources.
Thanks to MULE, I spend less resources on SCV and only have 1 type of mechanic shield-up, so there is a lot of resource benefit
The scanning range is also very wide.
Blizzard have to block the Battle Cruiser for 5 seconds from using the Yamato Cannon and Tactical Jump
LIBERATOR & Ghost Sniper so OOOOOOPPPPPP.
On the other hand, Protoss & Zerg need to invest more in ground and air defense upgrades respectively
Even Zerg & Protoss defense towers cannot recover resources, but Terran has another resource benefit with the bunker recovery function
In terms of resources, Protoss & Zerg are at a huge disadvantage overall
The zerg is still garbage
INFESTOR skill Deleted but Ghost skill always Nondeleted!!! WTH!
Zerg units are expensive to upgrade and take a long time to complete
The tech building is also expensive, but you have to invest 50 more minerals called drones there and pay 50 minerals again to produce the lost drone
Are the zerg a cheap tribe? Fukshieeeeet. Zerg most expensive and inefficient tribe
Zerg adds minerals and gas when transforming units
No race is more expensive than the Zerg
One last thing on my mind.

Protoss Phoenix & Carrier can auto-attack

It's somewhat an indicator of the state of the game to have so many games with a Protoss where Winter is casting and the Protoss player appears to be losing the battle or barely trading is surprised by the GG and has to rewind and look elsewhere on the map. Protoss players seem to rely somewhat heavily on distraction and being able to hold just enough to get damage done elsewhere. Maxpax in particular is extremely good at that style of play. Good series!
Seriously, Winter thank you for bringing us such quality and entertaining daily content. I legit look forward to every video at dinner time. I no longer really play the game because Zerg is just too weak for lower ranks like me (Diamond when I stopped), but it's always enjoyable to watch your casts. I don't understand how you don't have a bigger platform yet. You are definitely the best caster I've ever seen, to include all the professional ones at the actual tournaments. Keep it up man 🤙🏼

MaxPax's blink stalkers are an inspiration to Protoss everywhere.
Pretty sure it's the most used protoss unit in all matchups so..

What would make Protoss more playable? What if they got some sort of spell like the queen but instead of spawn larva it gave existing mineral patches more total minerals (regrowing used or close to depleted patches bringing them back slowly up to the original amount). It would favor late game builds, so probably slow down the game.
They could have a stationary building that is a mix between a bunker and a medevac. It could protect a few units lowering there damage because they are being healed but they would regain health as fast as Zerg, so slowly (maybe 2x Zerg normal heal speed). This would work for mechanical and flying too.
They could have a merge like archons for zealots that gives them more health, reflective damage shields (meaning if they are hit by projectiles it also damages the enemies a small amount), but instead of attacking they have a passive area of effect slowing and a small damage over time effect (like a poison, maybe stackable) just being close to enemies.
For the sentry revamp the force field, make it damage somehow, maybe make it similar to the auto turret or the removed infested Terran, possibly let your own units enter the field making them like bunkers. Or make it be able to capture enemy units like stasis ward.
I feel like Protoss should have a damage, shield energy, and or spell energy increase if they are within the power effect of pylons (maybe choose one and make it a temporary triggered ability/spell). Giving their energy based weapons and shields an additional +1 +0 +1 (up to total +4) (regular armor would be uninfected).
Possibly give gateways a reactor like attachment or upgrade, that allows for you to create certain units like a normal gateways (only spawn at the gateway) + continue to allow the regular amount of warp ins.
I'm really feeling the bane nerf in this set of matches. I don't think Maxpax holds those pushes if the banelings need an extra hit from the colossus or stalkers. The fights go from impossible to merely Hope You're Parting levels of doable for protoss.
Maxpax multitasked Solar out of the game with chargelot backstabs and clean blink micro, it was impressive as hell.
I do think Solar threw the game though, he could've easily droned to 80+ with a round of larva, instead of feeding forty lings to colossus/stalker/oracle, and swamped Maxpax. His upgrades were also poorly thought out if he wanted to use hydras, he should've had +2 range instead of melee, you can't just a move banes anymore, there has to be something behind it. Also, that creep spread was just plain bad. Scarlett would have had the entire right side of the map up to Maxpax's fifth base creeped, no more attention did he pay to that side of the map, and the backstabs that won the game would have been picked up.
Felt like Solar was autopiloting pre patch zerg against a regular old GM on the ladder instead of the number 1 or 2 protoss in the world.
It is a good example of why “Just make more Banes lol” won’t work.
Statistically speaking, the games Solar lost are the games he roll banelings towards the probes.
Game 1 he rolled banes and won, game 2 he didnt roll banes and lost 🤷♂️

in game 1 with that many archons i'm surprised MaxPax didn't get shield upgrades over armor especially with the new patch making the shield upgrade cheaper

A stupid question: why don't more Protoss go for Phoenix Range?
Excellent games, even better commentary.
Phoenix are more of a counter unit, though I'm not a P main, they are good at countering thing that don't shoot up or are buildings, esp. early tanks, Queens, etc.
They do less well against ground AA as it masses in the midgame, fairly useless against ground in any number period, although they used to be considered a hard counter to early roach all-ins, if you could get them out in numbers fast enough.
No idea how they do against clone, haven't seen, but I'm guessing more beats less.
Either way, range upgrade is typically an afterthought, over getting them out early to maximise their energy based ability, and in numbers, before the enemy has adequate counters.
Mass Phoenix are deadly in team games, one of the most feared rushes in the game, very hard to counter for Z, you are forced into getting burrow and making a buttload of spores.
In 1v, range would be good for sniping Vipers, and even Broods and Overseers mid and lategame, and would serve to extend the Tempest's line of sight, with lower risk, although hallucinated Phoenix
evelation are alternative options.
Its a huge cost in the early-mid game that would stall their build, for something which doesn't really give much tactical advantage. In the late game there's no real need for Phoenix in general.
Because it requires a fleet beacon. It's effectively 400/300 and ~2 minutes just to get the upgrade, and while you might use that fleet beacon later in the game for carriers and tempests (And when you have those units, you don't need phoenix range), it's not really doing anything for you early. Unless Zerg really commits to the mutas it's not really worth it, and if Zerg is committing that hard to mutas, and they don't die to a push, the Protoss has probably already lost the game.
You have to confirm that Zerg is going practically all in on mutas and have a solid phoenix count built up without taking too much damage in order to justify phoenix range, and such situations are exceedingly rare these days.
Back in HoTS, we occasionally saw it in games of Muta/Corruptor vs Phoenix/Voidray on large maps where the Zerg could relatively safely go into mutas without dying to a push.
It's also used in PvP when both players go for phoenixes.
@@Matt-ln7lb I guess you're right, I've just seen a lot of these games where they invest in seven or twelve phoenixes just to lose them all when they have to dive too close to the army, when they could have preserved them and their value longer while setting up for a skytoss transition by cutting one or two phoenixes and going for the upgrade...

I really don't get why Protos doesn't make Shields armor, when it is basically free regenerative health, especially with Shield Batteries and in this case soooo heavy on archons.

Same here, just watched g1 as well, became a snoozefest due to solar lacking that killer instinct or at least scouting well enough to know how silly far ahead he was after the early midgame. Generally big on Solar but rooting for MaxPax for the rest of the series.

I don't like watching Protoss vs Zerg games, because it is a pain to see the Zerg humiliate the Protoss 99% of the time. Let's hope that Microsoft manages to balance this imbalance in Sc2
