Damnit. Daigo is my fav player, primarily for nostalgia reasons and the hype that surrounds him in spite of his losses, but something about Menat's character just pulls my attention. Not sure what it is, I don't have the same with other SFV characters.

Seems like after 2 times beaten convincingly Infiltration knew that he can't win this, in the 3rd game he didn't switch to Juri because he want to get more data for his menat.
I think daigo ultimately is still on top. He loses tournaments but ft10s he seems to just school everyone.

That's because Daigo is the more popular player, maybe the most popular.
Its a great achievement beating daigo in ft10. Very few are lucky enough to do that. Hence why tokido is so upset when he lost again to daigo in their recent ft10 even though he beat daigo many times in diff tournaments (but not in ft10s)

Shawn John Disagree. Akuma has more tools than Guile. Try using guile to beat Menat, it's a pain in the ass.
Antonio Gallagher I don’t think you got my comment. I’m sure menat is hard for both players to beat, but tokido probably prefers the guile match up more.
Antonio Gallagher It has nothing to do with the amount of tools, Guile is a character, while in good hands, can overcome any situation even if he has less tools, generally speaking, Guile is a harder match up to Menat than Akuma is.
Akuma got a better tools getting "in your face"
One of menat's weakness is when your opponent is close to you coz she lacks wake up tools like dp or somersault.

Yeah, you kind of do. Menat wasn't a broken character. Infiltration just maximized her defensive abilities and got wins. He did the same thing with Juri. To my knowledge he uses Menat because she's strong but also fun.
fianle Menat is broken even Justin Wong is cashing in on it. Good for him he made it to top 8, his Menat wasn't even that good.
Justin choosing to use Menat doesn't automatically make her broken. Justin was using Karin since season 1, but who would honestly call her broken? There have been three people doing really well with her since last season and they are people who have been using her since she came out.
