Alright, y'all. It's been numerous months since the release of the title track as a single for the 24K Magic album. I'm possibly even more obsessed with this album now than I was 6 months ago. These songs have only grown on me with time, from the James Brown-styled "Perm" to this Marvin Gaye/MJ inspired "Versace On The Floor". The AESTHETIC here is so good! Retro, but still super smooth. 😎 Bruno has the swagger and Zendaya has the beauty. That lil keyboard intro too?? 🔥🔥🔥
I can't believe how RAW this album feels, with authentic R&B sounds of the 70s-90s and modern touch-ups. This song in particular feels like the kind of real R&B ballad we've been lacking in music in recent years. Thank you once again, Bruno Mars. I don't know if any more videos for this album are coming or not, but I'm happy with everything you and your team been doing. You put a spotlight on a vibe I didn't think could EVER be revitalized like this. The 24K Magic Tour was also an absolute joy to watch first hand, FANTASTIC show! Even tho I'll always be a fan, I'm definitely gonna miss this era when it's over. The R&B flavors definitely made it my favorite so far, and I'm eager to see where you'll go from here 😁
