Hope this will answer to some questions new players have, I tried to make it quick clear and informative but as usual I'm not sure if I succeeded. Great video. I am now just starting DD lines in a real way. 90% of my DD games are still the low tier stuff to get to cruisers, battleships, and CVs. For some reason, a clan wanted me to merc for them in Clan Battles - and, they asked me to play a Tier VIII DD. I have exactly one (1) Tier VIII DD that I whaled from a Black Friday event. I really wanted the Cossack because of it's history, it's captain (Admiral Vian was a stud), and because I heard it was a good bote... I have a total of 24 games it it - almost all of them in high quality divisions where if I blew up all is not lost. Laughs all around... 🙂 Anyway, because of my skill level I have really focused on three things: Spotting Screening and, Staying alive. It is amazing what a mediocre team can do if you succeed at those three things. Damage is only necessary when you want to push around the enemy or deny sea lanes. I'd say that caps are important more important than screening, but that is a bit whatever. You end up doing it all anyway.
Good job mate , there is very little number of new players who understand that damage is not that important and comes to You one way or another when You do spotting and other things.
Thanks, loving these guides, and you're making them at exactly the right time (for me) Of course I need to take the guide as a "basis" and develop my own ideas that suit me, depending an the sort of DD or Cruiser I like to play (some cruisers are more like big DD's, some more like BB's etc) but this is a great place to start and to me at least , makes a lot of sense. Any chance of a guide that show some ships you recommend in each class for beginners? "Beginner friendly" as opposed to "best in class" if expert players used them. BTW, it's "phases", not "fazes". Not meant as criticism, your English is very good, better than a lot of my fellow Australians! One of those stupid things in English where even though there's already a letter better suited, for some reason we use "ph" as "f" and an "S" where "Z" would be better. They must do it on purpose to trick people. I'd argue your spelling makes more sense.
That's the problem with subtitles my spelling is awful because I learned english from watching TV shows. It seams mistakes are unavoidable for me 😞, hopefully it will not affect video performance, because I can't change it after publishing video. (that's how YT works I can cut this part of video or do new video but I can't change anything )
@@MrLamzes Like I mentioned, it's not meant as criticism, your English is good. Just trying to help you out for the future is all. Sorry if I upset you, not my intent
I would say maybe, depends on situation. After all smoke is very important safety tool and sometimes it's better to keep it just in case, then set it for someone in cruiser You don't know, if he would even use properly.

@@iffracem Thanks for reminder and correction, I will remember now how phases is spelled. 👍
as part of screening, torp or stealth dd should use torps for anti access area denial right.
another is to smoke up for cruisers for good teamwork
