You do realise how seatbelts works don’t you . The seat and the child are one how on earth do you imagine the seat is going to hit the child . The child is sitting on the seat he/she have the seat belt around them the seat can’t move anywhere .
Which is why the correct way to install a car seat like this or without a base/one that only uses a seat belt is to pull the belt out all the way. Then it locks as it retracts and you can hear the clicking of it locking as it gets tighter, but not many people know that so it’s usually installed loosely and yes that’s dangerous.
This is perfect seat to use as a spare. I have a Cybex Sirona Z which uses isofix as a main seat but also have use of a van which does not have isofix points so need a seat belt version and this is perfect for it. I'd you need a car seat that is isofix then look at one that is isofix compatible. This is clearly not the seat for you.
This is a great car seat, I have one for my 2 year old daughter, plus it’s a cool brand for a car geek
Just bought this and I’ve had all other brands except this. This one is by far the best I’ve had.

Not all cars have isofix..
I think cars pre 2000 don't have isofix, but any other car after that has it, its the new regulations.
