G’day guys I hope all is well, today’s piece came out a lot better than I thought it would and I’m very happy to add it to my collection. Over 8.5 kg closer to my target of 1 Tonne. I also do some cool custom coins designed by my mate Bruce. He’s located in New Zealand so if you check him out be sure to let him know I sent ya😁Copper pours are definitely my favourite as it pours like water when it’s heated right. Now I’m Creeping up close to 1,000,000 subs so I will need to find something bigger than I’ve ever done before I reckon🤔. Anyway everyone have a great weekend , stay safe and I’ll see you all next Friday😁👋🏻

Me and my grandson really enjoy watching you melt stuff. And it's really nice you show how much gas you used for the melt. Thanks a lot for posting! Cheers from Denmark
Yes mate actually after I poured the bricks started to move so I had to hold one side , The cube came out great but at the end of the day it’s just a block and nothing as extravagant as what you do over your way. I still remember that big spill you had with the Canon if I remember correctly that was pretty epic when the mold came apart😳
haha, loved the 10mm socket find! Pretty cool how the water boils off the oxidation on the brass coins. That copper cube is gorgeous! Better be careful keeping that refinement all in the house, it will start to sink!
I have to say something this time. The video and coins are amazing as what we expect from bigstackD right but that cube is god-tier awesome sauce. My jaw literally dropped in awe. Mind you I think copper is already the greatest non-precious metal ever so there is that but holy crap. So cool. Thank you.
I think that was a motorbike engine block, and the 10mm socket def deserves its own little box, love the melting, Makin me wanna start, I just don’t have the space
if u don't have the space, start out just melting pewter which is a tin alloy. it's great fun and you can even cast it into silicone molds bought off ebay. you can melt it with a small torch and any metal cup.
You could always look into getting an electric furnace they are extremely slow but you could still melt a kilo of copper and pour yourself 10 coins at a time. That could take up to 2 hours to melt 1 kg of copper , but it’s silent and if you had a balcony you could quite easily do it with no space. But obviously do it outside👍🏻. VOG just did a review on a cheap melting furnace if you want to check that out on his channel. and if you want some extra info on when I used my electric furnace I wrote down some key points (not all good) when I used the exact same model so hit me up an email if you ever decide to go ahead and get one. bigstackddddd@mail.com
I will definitely keep that option open, thank you, although I may be able to fit one of the small devil forges, I’ll have to look when I get home and I will definitely ask for pointers or rewatch some of your videos, I’ve wanted to start melting the first time I saw one of your videos
10mm sockets are known to travel great distances once they are able to escape their confinement with the other sockets. Problem is you never know where they will end up. Normaly they take well to their new home, sometimes they are no where to be found after a couple days.
I’m absolutely obsessed with scrapping whatever I can get my hands on for copper. Just the look of copper is super satisfying to me. So these videos hit the spot.
