  • Hey guys how are all you beautiful people going today? Now if you like Copper you are going to love todays video where i take a heap of old dirty copper pipes and cast a awesome solid Copper Cube . I mirror it up and it came out great. I also melted a big brass nut from a woodchip wagon into some of my new custom coin molds. Bruce's Custom Coin Link is below. I hope you enjoy the video and ill see you all next Friday for another melt.
    If you Want to support the channel it wont cost you a cent as you can Simply just donate some of your time. By just by allowing the ads to play through this will help out a lot and that’s how I make a bit extra revenue and the good thing is more revenue means more giveaways and more treats for the dogs👊🏻😄. A better way to support the channel is play one of my playlists on your computer before you walk away from it and let it play through that really helps as well but don’t ever feel as though you need to watch the ads if you don’t want to simply skip them and move into the video it’s completely up to you and I understand if you don’t have the time to do so👌🏻and like I always say if you like the rings shown and used in this video be sure to check out the description where you can get 20% off the already discounted rings using my code and if you want to try your hand at melting yourself you can buy the burner on its own or the whole furnace set up and I can organize a 5% link for you off the total furnace price just email me on bigstackddddd@mail.com 😁👍🏻.

    HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
    I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it??????.

    G’day guys I hope all is well, today’s piece came out a lot better than I thought it would and I’m very happy to add it to my collection. Over 8.5 kg closer to my target of 1 Tonne. I also do some cool custom coins designed by my mate Bruce. He’s located in New Zealand so if you check him out be sure to let him know I sent ya😁Copper pours are definitely my favourite as it pours like water when it’s heated right. Now I’m Creeping up close to 1,000,000 subs so I will need to find something bigger than I’ve ever done before I reckon🤔. Anyway everyone have a great weekend , stay safe and I’ll see you all next Friday😁👋🏻

      You could always look into getting an electric furnace they are extremely slow but you could still melt a kilo of copper and pour yourself 10 coins at a time. That could take up to 2 hours to melt 1 kg of copper , but it’s silent and if you had a balcony you could quite easily do it with no space. But obviously do it outside👍🏻. VOG just did a review on a cheap melting furnace if you want to check that out on his channel. and if you want some extra info on when I used my electric furnace I wrote down some key points (not all good) when I used the exact same model so hit me up an email if you ever decide to go ahead and get one.

    when it comes time to flattening the pipes, you need a more efficient way of doing that, see if you can make your own flattening type of mangle, like the old wringer that they used back in the 20's to wring out clothes, maybe you could find or make one that will flatten the pipes or what ever that may need flattening, like the wire stripper you have, only this one will have a steel or stone roller that will squeeze things down to, a varying thickness, say between 2-5mm for a melt, just a thought.

    • @tinaredington1292
      @tinaredington1292 2 года назад

      Personally l like the hammering. Plus it knocks a lot of muck off and out of the pipe. Just my opinion. I like the sound.

    Great video as always, the cube is awesome, reminds me somehow of the Borg from Star Trek. I think the volume calculations for the cube are a little off, it is impossible to be only 8.5 cm3 with the dimensions we see relative to your hand. Maybe 85 cm3 is more close to reality.

      Good point! Yeah I screwed up pretty bad I think I wrote it out wrong and didn’t even think about it when I was editing. It should’ve said something like
      613 cm³ or something close to that🤦🏻‍♂️

      I don’t get involved in any of that type of stuff buddy. Especially on this channel, anything in the comments that is religious racist or political gets deleted, some still sneak through but I’ve set it up so most of it will be automatically put into spam folder👍🏻. I have blocked probably 500-600 people Over the years because of that but most of it because they abuse other commentors or myself. The funny thing is they don’t even know that they’ve been blocked and if they look on the comments section they can still see what they have typed in but no one else in the comments can see it.
