Yes and almost. If I may gently correct you on a technical point of NY law; a person is not a convicted felon under the law until they are sentenced. In this matter, the sentence itself doesn’t matter. The process of sentencing itself taking place is the point in law.

Since under the US Constitution, each state determines the manner of their elections, voting restrictions go state by state, bearing in mind that those laws themselves need to be constitutional.

Someone at my office asked me why this outcome made me so happy, then he commented that I have no vested interest in the verdict. I told him as a woman, and one that had daughters, trump having his avenues to the presidency blocked little by little make my girls safer in the future.
FINALLY!! The jury handed down consequences for his actions for the 1st time in his miserable narcissistic life. Although it's embarrassing for our country that we have this FELON trying to take the white house, I'm grateful for this verdict. As a former native New Yorker, I could not be more proud to be a New Yorker. We are a tough crowd in a tough city, but New Yorkers always rise to the occasion when necessary. I was there for 911 living and working in Manhattan. We had many blackouts where all the traffic lights were down and brave residents stood in the middle of busy intersections and directed traffic and we listened! Hard to believe that Guiliani was the best mayor. It is like Alvin Bragg in 20 yrs would be acting like the current Guiliani. But I was CRYING... because for ONCE HE didn't get away with something.... After almost being 80 years old.. He's finally being held accountable!

Some years ago when this criminal was rising an elderly lady in Scotland was speaking about this man and his bullying ways. This is because her house was in view on a hill on his Scottish golf course. He wanted this house knocked down he sent bully's time after time to remove her and her house. We'll he met her match because she stood up to him and his bully's. I knew then that this criminal's vile. I told my family about this programme and him and they didn't believe me... so I'm so pleased justice as preveled.....
I shared the movie with my 93 year old mom about this Scottish woman and her farmer son fighting the battle with Trump, he was despicable to these modest, decent people with his actions. We grew up on a farm and she was touched by the woman fighting Trump. However, time has softened her views again and last time I visited, she still contended that Trump did some “ good” things for our country. I love her dearly but we do get into heated discussions because she is a conservative Republican. Elise Stefanik is our representative in Congress unfortunately.
RIP to that woman who spent the last of her life standing up to him. At one point he cut off the water that went to her house. Despicable Trump, Justice finds him at last!
I remember hearing about this story on a lady that lived near trumps golf course and didn’t reconnect the water line. Poor lady had to carry water from the creek for more then 12 months until the someone fixed the pipe that was disconnected. It definitely was not Trump that fixed it.

I got emotional watching the counts of guilty for each of the 34 counts being reported. A good day for justice, proof that even an ex president is not above the law. A hope that this will be a first step in fighting back. 12 ordinary people had the courage that our elected seem to lack. They reviewed the evidence presented and used common sense and honesty to answer to the charges against him. They are true heroes and I pray they get all the protection they need and deserve.
