I have been watching a lot of vloggers visit your country recently and can say that your people are a beautiful people, so welcoming and hospitable. From England, when I was a Cop I became great friends with a Pakistani shopkeeper, his brother lived in the border lands with Afghanistan, a factory owner. I met many people on my travels at work, but me and Mohammed became great friends, a humble man with so much friendship to give, for me and my white skin and Christian culture, it was so warming to spend time listening to Mohammed speak of the Koran and his own values. He spent years in the Pakistan Army, but also in the border areas with his brother. Troubled areas. And with so much ignorant bias and hate for some culture classes, seeing Chris posting these videos is something anyone with bias should do. This is real life folks, and Pakistan is full to the brim with respectful hard working people. So hat doffed to you Chris for sharing these events with normal people, and hat doffed to the majority of Pakistani's who are like the guy cutting your hair. Who would of thought getting your haircut in Pakistan would carry so much humanity and care, Well Chris you have done it and shared it. well done ! Ivan.

I know this video is from a while ago but I really want to provide backstory about the beautiful story the barber is telling at 2:40. He’s recalling a famous story about Imam Ali (as), a man who’s very dear to us especially as Shia Muslims since we believe he’s the first caliph of the Muslims after the prophet. In this historical incident Imam Ali fights a warrior and enemy of Islam named Amr ibn Abd al-Wud. They fight each other, and Imam Ali gets Amr to the ground and right before killing him, the man spits in his face. Imam Ali (as) then walks away without finishing the man off on the floor. When asked about why he didn’t kill him, Imam Ali said everything he did up until that point was for the sake of God and for the religion of Islam, but once that man spat in his face he would have killed him out of anger not for the sake of God. Rumi the famous Sufi poet also talks about his story extensively and it’s really beautiful showing the patience of our master Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) and the beauty of our religion❤

I mean i love to see travellers enjoying Pakistani hospitality but giving back to the community doesn’t hurt. In fact it can make someone’s day like this barber. He would hardly earn a thousand a day but Chris’s generosity is like a reward for all his hard work.

Another fix for translation at 2:20 he says "criminals do bad things for money, and use religion as a cover but it is about money more often than any ideology behind the crimes, and has nothing to do with the belief system of the majority." - sorry to nitpick, but just wanted to help out a bit.. carry on the great work!

Sad to hear how people are struggling because of inflation, while rich are getting richer by raising prices of their products and not thinking about the impact on ordinary people's lives.

Fix for translation at 1:50 he said nothing about islam, he just something along the lines of "it is good that you learned urdu, because it is good to be part of the culture"
