the thing i love about Devildriver is that they havent changed their sound one bit, they have stayed true to their own sound, and its heavy as balls, soo many metal bands nowadays try to follow the "scene" and do whats "cool/mainstream" to appease to the large musically ignorant majority. Truth is kids nowaday dont know wtf is good music, they just like what's hand feed to them through the radio

Barely Meshuggah. Timing, feel and essence all wrong even the first quad triplet breakdown has a nuance you feel once studied. This is not Meshuggah but Sick AF regardless.

Before I began listen to Devildriver, I missed some really badass riffs, and some brutal but still melodic metal. then I found Devildriver. I freaking LOVE Devildriver!

This was the first band that got me into actual heavy music. I started off with Iron Maiden, Metallica, priest, etc but this band was the the band that introduced me to the darker/heavier side! Now I'm in love with black metal, death metal and all the extreme metal genres! Thanks Devildriver \m/

Dez has evolved so much since the coal chamber days I remember seeing them in 1996... mighty Pantera,Machine Head and Coal Chamber was the opener...Great show...

He's not a "cookie monster" vocalist. He's not guttural enough to be called a real death metal vocalist. Everyone has different inspirations, this guy must have different inspirations than someone like corpsegrinder or Strnad does.

Trivium released one masterpiece: Shogun. The other albums are either boring, good or even great, but Shogun is the only truly inspired moment of their careers. They confuse being melodic with being fluffy.
***** Yeah, Shogun was very strong and my favourite. Ascendancy is my second favourite for it's great riffs and songwriting but can not match the epic songs of Shogun. I still like modern trivium (In waves to present), but definitely not as much compared to Shogun.

I don't understand Coal Chamber. Idk what they're about. Devildriver, however, has always struck a chord with me. Although Dez is super excited about the new Coal Chamber record. I'll give it a try.
Coal Chamber was the shit, without Coal Chamber there would be no Devil Driver, and Jack and Ozzy Osbourne obviously agree since they discovered Coal Chamber and signed them.. Hell Ozzy is on their album art and one song and stars in a music video by coal chamber. lol

How do you know? Devildriver is one of the most consistent hardest touring bands in metal today.... They started less than 10 years ago and have built their success. You don't like them well that's fine but it doesn't make you an arrogant authority in the matter.

one of my pet peeves is when a band sounds absolutely AMAZING until the singing starts. these guys rock, but in my opinion theyd be ten times better with an actual singer. not a cookie monster vocalist.

im totally unable to sing it better...as im not a musician. but i am a huge fan of music, and i think devildriver has a phenomenal rhythm section...held back by a mediocre singer. even you cant tell me this guy has a good voice

Отец плавал на тороговом судне. Его Американцы попросили привезти фильм ВиЙ даже дали ему видеокасет и денег заплатили. Ну вобщем просьбу выполнил. Американцы сказали что ничего страшнее в своей жизни не видели Вий имеется ввиду 68го года по моему который, а это было в 70х. Кстати Вий оказал огромное влияние на японского режисëра который автор звонка и проклятия.

Everything obviously went to shit after this album, when the best drummer known to man/writer of music leaves. Rip the band that was awesome.
I've never been a big fan of DevilDriver, but this song opened my eyes, and KICKS ASS!!!
Every member of this band has mastered their instruments the singers scale of voice is pretty phenomenal and definitely unique... I still remember when coal chamber disappeared and devil driver appeared lol... still a fan of both bands... devil drivers music is much much more complex. I've never heard such technical drumming

As a Metalhead myself. I feel bad for not knowing this song and it's been out there for 8 years is so cringe for me. Matter of fact. I actually heard this song on a Game called Sleeping Dog-Definitive Edition from the Radio Channel called Road Runner. I really love it.

I've been in many a mosh pit's before but a Devildriver mosh pit is the most brutal & intense of them all
Lamb of God pits are more intense. I just saw them a few months ago with Killswitch Engage and Testament and then I saw Trivium and Devildriver. LoG pits were way better
