Great video and very useful. It's interesting you find this comfortable and similar to the endurace. I've been looking for comparisons between the two and how comfortable both feel for casual riding, or longer rides where you're not trying to win a race.
Had my Canyon SL 9.0 for 10 years, it’s like triggers broom in terms of what is left (frame, seat post), but it’s been a great bike for sure. Having also had a canyon TT bike and also a Grail if I ride my bike again with a view to something new I’d go Canyon again.
Nice bike, rather than change the bars so you can put light etc on easily, have a look at the light that goes on Garmin mount between mount and Garmin. I don't have one but considering getting one myself
Same, but wrong size. Worse, I can only work on it when my partner is out of the house, we live in a first floor flat and there's only so many places I can hide a new purchase. I have a titanium frame hidden in the boiler cupboard, and a carbon frame I bought from AliExpress under the bath behind a wooden panel - also with a pair of carbon wheels I bough at the same time. I'm thinking of hiring a lockup somewhere to put everything.
Hahaha a brand new pair came up but the guy sold them locally for cash and didn’t want to deal with PayPal / postage, I was gutted! I wonder why they stopped making them 😭🤦♂️
@@TriathlonDan I think to get people like me to cave and go full hog in getting a speedmax. I must admit I’ve been close at times when looking at my bike splits! 😭😂
I mean... is it really cheaper to buy a new bike instead of chewing throughout expensive components on existing one? How many km of rides and trios of chain&cassette&cranks could you buy for a price of a new bike?
Probably not 😂 it’s more the gearing range I have on the race bike vs training bike and I like to know that the race bike has relatively new components, no getting to and event and a new chain slipping on worn chainrings etc
@@TriathlonDan I got about 1000 miles out of my Rival pads, full weight including the bike is100kgs. I went with Swissstop RS35, not quite as sharp but definitely quieter and no SRAM turkey gobble!
Ha ha UR a canyon fan boi for sure. I don’t own one but I like the brand so fair enough. Don’t tell Liz the price 😂 sounds like my life. I was so close to buying another bike last week for Randonneuring but i scores a 165mm crank set for my gravel bike and came a cost a set of silica titanium bottle cages and bought them so I’m gloving to throw my GP 5000 AS on my gravel bike and go with that.
@@TriathlonDan definitely £20 for the pair I believe but i might have dropped a zero some where in the equation. I can’t wait to get them on, and see what this bike feel like with road tires. Some wise man once said make winter gravel road bikes great again I believe was your words.

Cheers Gary! I'm reasonably used to the lower position of the Ultimate, but the Endurace is a safer bet for comfort

Have you stripped it 😂 fanbois for life eh
Need to sort that saddle out ASAP Dan!! Can't be riding around with it angled like it's a waterslide
Haha I only threw it on for the video! It’s in millions of pieces now 😬
I have an Endurace in bright red and absolutely love it, not a huge red fan but boy does it look good.
Nice one! It’s too late for me to change my mind now 🤣

Thanks Shaun! It’s in a million bits already mate 🤣
10 seconds in and wondering how long until he mentions painting it blue.
Only had to wait 6 mins hahaha
Hahaha love this 🤣 it’s at the paint shop and I haven’t even ridden it 😂
You bought a bike you don't need in the wrong colour. You got it bad son.

There’s lots of things in life we don’t ‘need’ 🤣 but the colour is being sorted 👀
"a bike you don't need"... what does that mean?!?!
4 years I’ve been searching for clip on bars for the H36 cockpit 😅 Was eagerly waiting to see if you had found gold! 😂

Gutted you are going to paint it. My first thought was ‘that red is lush’. Then again, I am probably as much a sucker for red as you are for blue…
Haha yeah each to their own isn’t it!
You really need to get that speedmax now for completeness!
Haha I know right! Talk to the boss 🤣

Nice bike you Canyon fan boy... For info, I have SRAM calipers on my Aeroad and my Speedmax - zero issues with them so far..
Yours dont have 100kg to stop, or me maintaining them 🤣🤣

Saddle angle worries me! 😮

Nice one, I love the AS’s, they feel just like summer tyres tbh. Not bad for £20 is it ;)

Saddle bolt missing, ( a trick) !
Haha I just threw this on for the video 👍
Red bikes are faster than blue ones. Its a fact.
What site was the bike advertised on? Nice bike
Facebook marketplace 👍
N+1
Exactly this 🤣
Repainting a red bike... *facepalm*
