  • Some Q&A help about the 25 Auto Bernardelli From a RUclips user, Gary VanVoorhis. He asked about three issues he was having with disassembly, the weapon not firing when off safe, and the slide bolt assembly not releasing.
I do not typically do a how to video of this nature, but I thought I might be able to help others. I am not a qualified gunsmith.

Thanks, exactly what I needed. My safety went loose after shooting it a few times.

I have the same pistol in 22 Long, mine shoots reliably, Very well made guns from the times when they used to make real steel guns
    Thanks for the video

I’d love to see one in 22. Thanks for coming by!

That's really cool. Someone else said they only come in 22 short... but I'd much rather have one in .22 long. I'm very surprised they didn't make them in 22lr. I'm surprised that most of them don't for some reason. I'm really glad that Beretta did and a couple others... but I really wish we could find more guns like this in 22lr (or any 22 rimfire). With modern ammo the rimfire .22 ammo has really gotten a lot more reliable. I used to have endless troubled with .22lr when I was younger. I could never go a day without at-least a couple ammo failures... but with modern CCI ammo, I've gone through many 100's of rounds without any failures, and maybe even 3000 rounds so far. Have shot a ton of Aguila 22lr also without any failures (about 300). I forgot the type of Aquila ammo they are, but it's their very high velocity stuff that's about as powerful as the CCI Stingers or whatever their hottest ammo is. (I think it's stingers).

Mine says on the slide 22 Long, but I have 22 short mag and it shoots both 22 long & short without any issues ( the opposite won’t work though since the chamber of the 22 short won’t fit the 22 long round)

Really appreciate the video. Although these aren't extremely rare, I juts can't find ANY videos on disassembly and assembly. It's to the point now that I'd pay someone to make a video if I had the money. It's funny how some older, more rare guns can have dozens of videos about how to assemble, disassembly, fix or modify them.... but then other similar firearms don't have any at all. (Just wish I knew how they worked. I think they're awesome guns, but they work differently than all the others and have different parts... and I never buy a firearm unless I know precisely how each and every part works, because I believe it is my responsibility to make certain that my firearms are in working, safe condition.... and with that, to also know if they are designed to be safe and I know well enough how they work to determine if they appear to be safe or not).

I agree. Once you buy it knowing everything you can about it and how well it works and safe, is up to the buyer. And it’s a big question mark! And sometimes a mystery with an obscure firearm.

Thank you, I had a comment on one of the Bernardelli videos I did almost a year ago, asking some questions about it. I have no clue if I actually answered it but hopefully helps somebody out one day.

I would start with gun parts Corp, the old Numrich company. They generally have what you need. Another person commented a company called Jack first, I haven’t purchased there myself but might be something to look into. Thanks for coming by!

I see this is recent, so I wanted to jump in and say that I have been buying parts from Jack First Gun Parts for several years and continue to do so. Very good company that not only has original parts but makes new parts for out of production guns. No delays, and you get what you order.@@cornfromajar3222
