Looks like a very nice Christmas Market. Do people go to these Christmas Markets only to eat food? I would think they would also go to buy Christmas presents but you show very little of the crafts booths.

My wife and I were at the Strietzelmarkt Christmas market three days later (December 15, 2022) with even more snow on the ground! Even more amazing in person! It was colder though, around 25 degrees. Had plenty of Gluhwein!

Ну,начнем с того,что нацистская Германия во главе с Гитлером тоже много какие европейские страны бомбила.В том числе и Россию.И не только бомбила,но и вела геноцид многих народов Европы .Так что не надо представлять тут Германию жертвой. Мол,это преступление,бомбить красивые германские города.А нападать на другие страны не преступление?А уничтожать людей в концлагерях не преступление? Вот фашистская Германия и поплатилась за все свои злодеяния.Но жестоко отомстили Германии не европейские народы,а англосаксы-англичане с американцами.Что самое интересное,США,никоим образом не пострадали от Гитлера. Но,однако , бомбили ее,союзнички😅А вот многие английские города Гитлер основательно разрушил.Поэтому англичане с большим удовольствием отомстили Германии в 1945 году ответными бомбардировками.

This is a very beautiful Christmas market; the most beautiful I've ever seen. I just have one simple, but perhaps uncomfortable question, and perhaps a follow up question. Was this market allowed to exist during the years of GDR rule? If it was allowed, was it allowed to exist as a "Christmas market?" Merry Christmas to the people of Dresden, and indeed, all the people of Germany.
Yes, it was allowed for sure. The old one is called striezelmarkt, like the Stollen.

I went with three kids. We froze and all came home sick for Christmas last year.
Uh oh...doesn't sound too pleasant. It was definitely freezing cold...but I enjoyed being able to walk around and not get too hot. I'm going to be heading back to film more Christmas markets here soon. Thanks for watching.

Была на многих ярмарках в Европейских городах, но Дрезденская ярмарка самая красивая!!! А почему конкретно не назвали кто разбомбил город Дрезден во время войны? может вы не знаете или умышленно не называете Британцев?
Nice camera work and coverage of this Beautiful City. As far as your comments related to WWII, war is bad and anyone would agree. Innocent people being killed. Calling the allied bombing a "War Crime" is a bit beyond what this video is supposed to represent. There was a lot of research that went into the specific details you gave, tonnage delivered and attacks tallied. Do you want to comment on what would have taken place had the German Nazi's been allowed to continue their rampage? The whole of Europe would be under a Dictator and if this video was allowed, you would be filming the government passing out roots to be boiled and eaten instead of the beer and krauts shown here. War is a battle on many fronts. Maybe this town was a strong hold or just a psychological target to deflate the Nazi's commitment to continue fighting. So to toss around the term "War Crime" why don't you visit the Christmas market in krakow Poland and comment on what took place in that city, or Auschwitz or Belzec.
I don't think I called it a War Crime, I said it has been called a War Crime...meaning, in some people's opinion, it was a War Crime.....meaning to emphasize the horror of it all. @@ProWalks The posted data provided was straight out of Wikipedia, but oops, you missed the part where the City commissioned a study in 2010 which supported an estimate of 35k people lost in the bombing, still a tragedy, but not the inflated numbers you talk about. As in your other videos, we like how you give some history and dates of Towns and buildings, and also mention their condition during the wars and the rebuilding that took place since then. But If you are going to throw out the amount of information that you gave on this particular video, and not tell the whole story, who does that benefit? You have created the side of the "Good guys" being The people of Dresden, and the Bad guys (The USA and Britain). No Nazi's mentioned here! Younger generations wanting to forget History or cover-up the bad parts ... Gee, isn't this supposed to be a walking Tour of the Dresden Christmas Market anyway?

Там были мирные жители, там были уникальные произведения искусства, которые в последствии осели в частных коллекциях, там была уникальная в Европе архитектура, которую разрушили в хлам и потом восстанавливали. По одной из исторических версий британцы и американцы сначала разграбили город, а потом, чтобы скрыть следы грабежа (трофеев), подвергли город бомбардировке, применяя атомные бомбы, и через год они сбросили бомбы на Японию, на города Хиросима и Нагасаки. В интернет были выставлены фотографии, горы обожжённых трупов в Дрездене. эти фотографии из частных семейных архивов. характер ожогов совпадал с трупами японцев, погибших в ядерной бомбардировке.
В дрезденском музее была картина Рафаэля " Сикстинская мадонна", бесценное произведение искусства. А в берлинском музее было золото Шлимана, которое в качестве трофеев вывезли в СССР, долгое время оно находилось в подвалах Кремля, а затем его выставили для обозрения в музее Изобразительного искусства имени Пушкина в Москве. Я лично своими глазами видела золото Шлимана в 2009 году; по современной рыночной стоимости наверное в миллиарды долларов оценивается...)). Стоит ли говорит об янтарной комнате, её копиях. Всё бесследно исчезло. По моему разумению весь янтарь осел в частных коллекциях. Последнюю версию янтарной комнаты своими глазами видела в Екатерининском дворце в Санкт- Петербурге в 2011 году. При солнечном освещении янтарь блестит, как золото. Сказочная красота! Там же в Питере видела золото скифов, своими глазами, с изображением на картинках не сравнить. Магическая красота _ золотые тотемы скифов завораживают! Видела Большую алмазную корону Российской империи в Алмазном фонде Кремля. Ничего красивее и грандиознее короны никогда не видела. Там ещё были японцы с экскурсией с гидом, они были ошеломлены её красотой. Кстати фотографировать корону запрещено, везде на фото муляжи (её копии). А подлинник и копия это разные вещи). Бриллианты играли брызгами, световые эффекты при искусственном освещении просто потрясающие, а если эту корону выставить на яркое солнце, она ослепит блеском бриллиантов )). По словам директора Алмазного фонда Кремля: кто постоит рядом у Большой алмазной короны хотя бы 10 минут, получит просветление. Но она в стеклянной витрине, а не на голове правителя :(( вот и не видим от него просветления ни какого. на экскурсиях больше одной минуты не разрешается стоять возле короны. Там же был экспонат - золотой самородок размером в человеческую голову, настоящее золото не блестит, оно матовое зеленовато золотистого оттенка. В магазинах продают не золото, это ювелирный сплав, по мнению специалистов "золото для ду ра ков". И там же в витрине якутские алмазы кабошонами, как камни при дороге ))
