Both of my sons are special needs I’m so blessed to have them they are my life. God please hear my prayers protect me and my children from homelessness. I used to have high standards. And I lived by them. But it’s a harsh world. The returns weren’t there. I treated people well, and they didn’t return the love. I worked hard, no reward from the companies. High standards aren’t enough in this world.

Hello. I’m Elizabeth and I’m from Brazil.
I feel like this falls short if we talk about relationships because no matter how well trained you are, how prepared you are how best you are it still doesn't mean nothing if it doesn't work out in the end. I mean sure yes, you did everything you could possibly do but what good was it when your partner wasn't even trying. It would be another story if both you and your partner did the best you could in that relationship but that is a scenario for ideal world and not very realistically for our life. So, in the end it isn't really worth going through all that just to realize that your partner gave up almost immediately and didn't put almost any effort while you were killing yourself by trying to reach that next level. Again sure, if you already learned the discipline and reached that next level, good for you but that still don't change the facts. 😅
And what other options do we have???
in that case, if you did your best, I would say: raise your standards and find a better partner ;-)
