- As we progress in this series, Covenant Community 101, we are learning about things that inevitably will cause argument and debate among us. So, before moving into more topics, Rabbi Steve Berkson thinks it important that the Body of Messiah should understand what unity looks like, how to achieve it and why we have issues that cause division.
Why does division come out of disagreement over certain subjects, i.e. Shabbat, calendars, etc.
What does Yeshua and the Father desire in regards to unity? What has been instructed about division?
Part 1 of this teaching focuses on unity as Rabbi Steve takes us to the gospel of John chapter 17.

I have a question about honoring your father and mother.... What if your parents are wicked? How do you honor evil and wicked people? What is your duty as the son or daughter? We know someone who cannot have their parent into their house, due to the parent's wickedness and bringing it into the home.

So, I do whatever I can to follow Jeshua to the best of my ability, regardles of what the other person do, or don't do.
