This week’s PNC Championship will see Tiger Woods return to action for the first time since the PNC Championship last year. The unique event, previously called the Father/Son Challenge, will see a host of PGA TOUR and Champions Tour players compete alongside their children and parents over 36 holes, in a bid to win the Willie Park trophy. Last year’s victors, Justin and father Mike Thomas return to the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida, hoping to become the first back-to-back winners since Larry and Drew Nelson in 2008. After finishing seventh in last year’s event Tiger Woods and his son Charlie, now 12 years old, will be looking to once again challenge for the title. Other duos to look out for this weekend include Jim Furyk and son Tanner, Nick Faldo and son Matthew and Olympic Gold medalist and 2021 Women’s PGA Championship winner, Nelly Korda alongside her father Petr. In order to be eligible, participants must have either won a major championship or THE PLAYERS Championship. The competition adopts a scramble format, in which each player in the pairing tees off, with both participants then playing each subsequent shot from within a club length of where the best shot of the two lands.

I don't typically comment on videos - but Charlie Woods' swing is absolutely one of the best swings I've ever seen. It's quite something for a kid to have such a flawless swing. The putting performance was possibly even more impressive. Kid is on an unmatched trajectory. If he wants to golf, he will win major championships someday.

I don't know why, but I couldn't stopped clapping on every single shot this young genius took. The Wood's d.n.a is in him, without a doubt.

I'm 42 and just started playing golf a few months ago, and it's humbling that this kid is better right now than I'll probably ever be if I play for the rest of my life. He makes it look so easy.
I am not much into golf, but this Father and Son tandem drew me in.
They are so lovely to watch, and I hope they will continue playing together.

Tiger’s smile is everything, especially after a great shot. Charlie is going to be the man no matter what he decides to do in life. That Swag is already out of control.
Charlie is what every kid wants to be like. Imagine Charlies life just chillin with Tiger, learning everything from his swing to his mannerisms. Coolest due on the planet right now. How could you not love this kid? Effin remarkable.
He didn’t have to learn his dads mannerisms, it’s built in him. My three brothers and me all have the same mannerisms as my dad. We even sound the same. Sometimes if all four of them are talking , and I’m out of the room and can hear them, I don’t know who’s talking.
If he chooses to stick with this, he'll be a contender. He's already got fantastic composure. Love watching the mirror of Tiger's mannerisms as well.

I watched the televised showing on both days and it's incredible how great these kids are. From Henrik Stenson's son, Daly's son, Kuchar's son and of course Tiger's son...the future of golf is in good hands.
It will be incredible.

Charlie is absolutely brilliant! He has a youthful energetic way of carefree golf playing that makes it ultra interesting to watch, and the genetic talent for great shots. I hope he does play professionally because I think his play style would draw crowds to golf matches like his father has done/does. Great pleasure to watch father passing the golf torch to son.😁👏🤘

I am so happy that Tiger Woods has recovered immeasurably from his recent very very bad accident. God has given him another chance to play lead a useful life and I hope he uses this chance for the betterment of his family and the community

It's pretty clear he loves the game and is amazing already at a young age. Now hopefully the media and talking heads won't completely crush him with expectations.
They will. They've already clearly started with the flood of Charlie videos every time he plays near a camera. They'll talk about how it's a shame what happened to Tiger, while they do the same thing to Charlie. As if it doesn't start and end with their greed. I think it'll be that much worse actually for Charlie considering social media now vs then. They don't care
Tiger was a golf prodigy. Much was expected of him from an early age- and he delivered. Charlie is a golf prodigy whose father is trying to prepare him for what he knows will be an intense focus on Charlie's development. That's why he doesn't allow Charlie to do interviews yet. In 2 PNC tournaments, Charlie has displayed a poise and temperament - and game, far beyond his years. He already has the ability to ignore all of the background noise and just play. If he continues in this fashion, he'll be just fine.

That is one of the cleanest purest golf swings I have ever seen. Just pure tempo and perfection. Like this kid could be just as good as dad. Will he? Who knows. But he has the foundation of an all time great.

It’s crazy how good he is at a young age, he’s probably better than 95% of golfers on the planet already, it helps having tiger woods as your dad. I love the bond between them can you imagine yourself making 100s of millions from golf and your son will no doubt do the same, winning at life there am jealous
He is amazing what a career he has ahead of him and I can't wait to watch him grow into one of the best to grab a club.

If you watch his swing, no analyze the young man's swing,..it is like a re-run of his father the great Tiger Woods, his tempo, coil in, rotation on each shot is consistent and strong. His putting, short game are disled in and he composure and confidence at 12 years of age is unbelievable.
That kid has all the tools he needs to succeed at this game. Obviously he has some advantages over the average 12 year old. but he looks to be working hard to be as good as he can be and he takes it seriously. I can't speak to who he is as a young man, but he's mature beyond his years on the course. Absolute pleasure to watch these two days of golf with fathers and sons/daughters enjoying the game. Congrats to the Dalys. They played incredibly well and I hope to see both John Jr. and Charlie on tour someday.

We're not privy to the hundreds of hours Dad and Son, and daughter have played golf together. All the little tricks, clues, coaching hints, that Tiger has passed on to his son and daughter will make them champion golfers if they want to be. I remember playing with my father and mother who were excellent players - single digit handicaps. You can't top that one on one time on a course.
