Nice work Mr T. 18 counted and a few missed totalling 1000? new units on the market in the next 2 years! One must wonder who will be occupying all this new inventory?

Well, the Governments have for the past 10+ years done everything they could to cut off flights to Puerto Plata and to strangle the tourism here, yet just wait till they've managed to kick everyone out of Sosua Beach and take control of the money-making, then they'll "flip the script" and start allowing more flights in again and promote this area to high paying tourists. The Government doesn't like "mixed tourism" (as they do as they like), but instead they want tour-led groups from hotels and cruise ships, and everyone else can bugger off!! (as far as they are concerned). The real estate and rentals at that stage will be pushed even harder.
As for me, I wish the Government and big investors would keep their greedy noses out of local business, as they are trying to turn this area into another Punta Cana, and they don't give a hoot about who loses their jobs, businesses, or access to beaches etc...
We need a free market economy, mixed tourism, and return the airlines from multiple destinations and some healthy price competition on tickets/hotels - then the North Coast will boom again as it did 20 years ago before they became too greedy and stupid!
      Brgds, Mr.T

Excellent Mt. I never knew there was such a huge demand for apartments in the Puerto Plata Province. Very informative as usual. 👍👍👍

I think you are on to something very useful. This may be a large project for you, but a complete overview of current and new gated communities across the DR...with their pros and cons...and what each community offers would be extremely valuable. For example, Casa Linda has a bus service to shopping, beach, etc. Have you consider coming to Canada, and doing seminars for those who are considering investing and/or retiring in the DR ? I think Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, etc would go over extremely well. One stop for information with you coordinating the overview, developers reps, financing reps, etc....

Great idea for the right person, yet I have a list of reasons why I would prefer NOT to jet-set forward and backwards from here to Chinada :)
Thanks though for watching and your idea, cheers. Brgds, Mr.T
