Please don't worry about slipping up on the rules. Good to see them corrected and fixed when spotted in session - it's a collaborative experience and you're all doing your bit to play fair - but you can cut yourself some slack on this, there's more than enough to remember already and we get that. You're all doing GREAT
I love that Ben is already so engrossed in the lore he’s asking about the ramifications of the gods being dead in the very first after show.

It feels so cool to "get in on the ground floor" of an Actual Play of a D&D campaign!
Thank you guys again for this first episode! Everyone did amazingly, and as a player-recently-turned-DM, Harry, superb job [claps]. This world absolutely sings. Taking bets on who'll derail Harry first by befriending/taming/seducing a boss and turn it into a pet.
I love that Dolly and “I” are both chaos gremlins in the making and on the same side of the table. 😂

Honestly, a great "inbetween" series of episodes to have. Makes it all feel more close to home, you know? Getting to see everyone's thoughts and (pardon me) authentic interactions makes it less of a show and more of a shared experience, in the best way possible. Will be looking forward to both the main episodes and these!
I love how this after-show is the whole group and it's not artificially dragged out for an hour plus. Very to the point, in the moment, and still gets that deeper look that's so great!
Been enjoying the story while working... excited to experience the after effects... I catch myself pausing work cuz i get caught up in the story telling and look forward to following along

This was so enjoyable to watch and the respective commitment to character, combined with amazing DM.
I love this idea of having a chat about the session afterwards to reflect and laugh about what transpired, looking forward to the next episode I love this cast. This really made me want to rewatch the first ep again 👍
I'm so excited for both action surge and the main series! Everyone is doing a fantastic job, even those less used to D&D :)
1 suggestion: When the character portraits are on screen, I would say put the characters names in the main series. Just to help with the mental image and getting used to the characters, perhaps have the initial introductions have casts names on screen first though. Then in Action surge have the casts names be mainly on the screen but have the character names first. Helps distinguish in character and out of character too. Maybe I'm just waffling though, heck you guys have done incredible so far!
This was good but it really made me impatient for the next episode!

Really love this kinda convo! I do think it would benefit from being released soon after the episode its in relation to, airs.
In an ideal world we totally would, but since we're just getting started, we want to make sure that we build a good foundation of delivering one video a week. A story video a week isn't possible right now, so Action Surge helps bridge that gap, but if/when/how things grow then you never know - Hollie
I honestly don't mind it being posted a little afterward as I think it serves as a good refresher for me before the next episode.

Love the character I
Loved episode 1 (and everything before that) and this little wind down is a great way to keep hype building for the next episode. Has the series all been recorded in advance / in multi-episode chunks? Im just interested to see if any comment feedback will be taken onboard mid-series. Also, any plans for merch? A simple tee with the logo as a badge would look very clean.
We have filmed a few in advance, so right now we've only filmed up to Episode 4. Simply because we all work full-time, we couldn't guarantee that we'd always be able to meet up, which is probably very relatable. We've made the decision to always be a few ahead so that if anything happens, and we can't film together, we should hopefully never be in a position where we have to skip a week!
I'm sure there will be plans for merch in the future, but nothing to announce just yet! - Hollie
The minis in regards to podcast/listeners. Think about football commentators. The good ones strike the balance between trying to provide spatial awareness vs over-commentating.

Have been looking forward to the start of this show … Loved the first episode! Great stuff. One tiny plea: Please put up some absorbers in the studio to soak up the reverb. Otherwise, keep enjoying yourselves - and thank you for sharing your adventures with us. 🤍
I’m working on it but I haven’t had a chance to build anything more into the room yet. If I get a chance I’ll do what I can to bass trap it and add more panels, but six open mics really highlights the reverb and manually ducking six tracks over all the recordings is a hell of a job. We’ve got 4 eps recorded to date like this I’m afraid but I’m doing what I can with the resources I have.
